I know it's supposed to be "image-er", but I always pronounce it Im-jerr". I went to high school with the guy that founded that company, and I've even heard him say it that way.

This could turn into the next SQL. When IBM first coined the acronym back in the 70s to describe their Structured Query Language, they pronounced it "sequel". Only those completely unfamiliar with it called it "ess-q-ell" when they saw it in print. Nowadays, if you pronounce it as originally intended hardly anybody even recognizes it.
