How is your EU3 Game going?

And it wasn't possible before?
Do you realize that in vanilla DW there is a achievement for WC with Ryukyu?
Really? I have found Ryukyu very good at teching, alas my game locks up on January 7th (attached is save) so I can't go further.

Bah, their forums are a mess, even worse than this one. Not only the require me to register just to see content like images and whatnot, they get constant errors like clicking next page or clicking page 193 on page 192 sending you back to the page you were in previously.

Actually their method of registering your games to get techsupport is their from of DRM, it shouldnt be a problem for you:rolleyes: unless you bought your games on Steam, then it can be a hassle since Steam apparently included made up keys for a some games.

To stay a bit more ontopic: Can you choose to not use the the hordes mechanic and/or the escalating alliances(?) in Divine Wind? Im still hearing lots of complaints about them and especially the latter is sort of keeping me from buying it. But since I'm getting a bit bored with the game I feel achievements might help with that. Also setting up a game with a friend is not something I have been able to do and their metaserver only works with the newest version.

P.S. sorry for not including pictures. Will do when I'm on my other computer.

The alliances are completely realistic, read some history and you'll see why, they also help destroy some...exploits that were possible before.

The hordes aren't bad at all, they start massively strong but later get destroyed...
If you want to disable the total-war thing of their government check the government.txt file inside the /common folder on your main EUIII directory, search for steppe_horde and delete these lines :
nomad = yes
colonize_prov = yes
They will be a tribal monarchy, you could change their maluses/bonuses if you wanted to as well.

Trebizond Very Hard difficulty on D&T 5.0 :p

eu33c.jpg

Byz is in a PU and Castille and Serbia are my only non-subject allies...

Had forgotten to post that, soon i might update it...I've made good progress :D

I'm finishing it up against the muslims first, i finally got the conquer south italy mission as well, so Rome may come soon :)

Venice will be a problem tough, i might need a proper navy built

You built a massive Eastern Mediterranean Empire without building a navy?

It's because, in their tongue, he is Δούκας της Βρετανίας, Armyborn!
:p

Yeah, but i have almost 100 naval force limits, and my army is already massive, so i will start building a lot of ships in the future :)

Please don't tell me you're going to recreate the Roman Empire with a Moorish nation.

Also, you should consider grabbing Ifni and Socotra, that will greatly help you getting to the new world. :)

I don't want to get to the New World, Castille and Portugal already own most of it, England will probably get North America soon...
I'm worried with PUing France and Castille, both are immensely powerful.

Trebizond is not moorish, it is the remaining territory of pre-fourth crusade ERE :)

EDIT :
Well, Portugal got to form...the Mayans!

Might update my Trebizond game as soon as i inherit Sicily (unwanted PU...giving me more trouble than it's worth! Why couldn't i have gotten Castille in PU instead?) so that i can form Rome, rampage through the most annoying OPMs in the game (1000 spies every year) in Italy and try to inherit France + Aragon...

So, i took a break on my Trebizond->Byz->Rome game and started a Timurid game on D&T 5.1, Very Hard difficulty and 1356 start :)

Let's start with...
eu36.jpg

Oh my, i had just conquered some land from the Kartids and i suddently inherit my ally? Perfect, saves me from some backstabbing!

Oh...
eu37.jpg

They still hold it! Very nice job, they deserve to inherit Bohemia!

Later...
Oh...
eu39r.jpg

So i got a random PU with my ally GH...PERFECT! Will get lots of cores when i inherit, double my size and become a massive blob of Doom :D

There's the family, quite big, huh?
eu310.jpg

And the Empire, just after completing the mission to conquer land from Delhi :
eu311z.jpg

I vassalized Kazakh in it and conquered two provinces, now i gotta wait my infamy to go down to finally annex my persian vassal the Kartids

Of course, i settled long ago, before even conquering the Chobanids in northwest Persia

Unwanted personal unions are so annoying. Nothing worse than getting stuck in a PU with everyone's favorite punching bag.

My Timurids game (1435 AD) is out of control.

I am currently suffering from Overextension, which is actually fairly accurate. All my potential strong rivals are paying tribute, and I am conquering Greece from the Venetians. The Horde, my ally, is exacting tribute from literally everyone they border to the west except Transylvania, who won't last long. This game might actually result in the Hordes lasting a really long time because of that.

My two temptations are to (1) push my luck and take one of the Horde's provinces that borders Hungary, and invade Europe, ideally conquering Italy for Hordekind, and (2) to push east and conquer China for the Hordes. The latter is probably the less stupid of the options. I might have to play through from this save twice, following both options, just for the experience.

My ideal goal here is to Westernize (at least once) as the Timurids and become a Semi-Advanced Horde of Doom. As a technological equal thus far I've already proven to be a horror for the world; even with 75% tech rate, a semi-westernized horde would be a nightmare.

The only problem is those pesky Knights. I ain't got no boats to conquer them with (being a horde), so I can't do anything about them until someone else sinks their fleet or bottles them into the harbor.
