How is your EU3 Game going?

Well, I am playing in Europe, as Brittany. :p The interesting bit is who the secondary powers are:

-Savoy has annexed Milan and look like they could form Italy by the end of the game
-Styria! Independent, taken over Tirol AND half of Aquileia.
-Uhmmm... Croatia is pretty much undisputed master of Yugoslavia o.O
-Transylvania has replaced Hungary

Spoiler :
The power of the Republic, here shown happening twice in my previous game:

This just happened, a OPM becoming the HRE:

You know what, we should have a Ryukyu (or some other impossible OPM) challenge, we all play games as said country and see how well we fare.

Interestingly, the historical Ryukyu Kingdom was in fact pretty wealthy, thanks to a rather extensive trading network stretching from Japan to Java. When China and Japan closed their countries Ryukyu benefited as it was nominally a vassal of both China and Japan, so trade with Ryukyu was considered non-foreign.

In game, Ryukyu should've been Shinto (so can't be attacked with colonial casus belli), though also with Ryukyuan culture instead of Japanese culture, and it should start with very good sliders for trading.

Bah, republics and monarchies are one of the biggest fails in EUIII, especially the limitation on the monarchies, most good rulers of the time were monarchs...

At least monarchies have legitimacy, PUs and RMs :p

IMO, the limit to stats should be 9 to any government, the bonuses to republican stats removed...Changing leaders every 4 years is enough

So then we should figure out what the free trade slider was set to and edit the save to make it so

How can this happen:

It's really annoying not being able to declare war on someone because of a truce and then if you declare on someone else and the first guy declares war on you without any stability hits it forces you to not only deal with them but also to wait 5 more years after signing peace again because it's just not worth it killing them off because it's the wrong casus belli and one just can't eat infamy carelessly.

AFAIK, stability hits are negated when you are a defender.

Bug report I filed on Paradox forums:

If anyone has any info on this, please feel free to share.

$vbulletin->userinfo[username], you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Bah, their forums are a mess, even worse than this one. Not only the require me to register just to see content like images and whatnot, they get constant errors like clicking next page or clicking page 193 on page 192 sending you back to the page you were in previously.

Actually, these are called "ghost pages", they are caused when a Mod deletes a bunch of posts in the thread...they aren't annoying because it's easy to know when they are the problem

Ryuku was one of the richest countries in the world in my Athens game, and also the most advanced country in Asia. Then Norway came along and conquered them.

The only info I have on the bug report is that I can't see it.

So now that D&T 5.0 is out I think that playing Ryukyu but with religion starting as Shinto and +3 Free Trade would be reasonable
