History Buff
I can't see the first screen
The Old and New Worlds in the year of our Lord 1734, during the reign of Karl V Theodor von Habsburg, by the grace of God, Kaiser of Großösterreich, Archduke of Austria-Bohemia, King of Castille, Leon and Jerusalem, Prince of Novogorod, Count-Palatine of Sundau, Lord-Protector of the Holy See, Emperor of the Romans, Scourge of the Heretics, Defender of the Faith, and of his many territories over the seas, Emperor.
Well, I've clocked on 20 years since that date and tidied up the nearest borders somewhat. I'm planning to nobble Aragon and force Poland & Lithuania to accept my rule. The Byzantines have also expanded under my leadership. Sole mastery of Europe is my driving goal in that game.
i got mass russian infantry ( pretty undefeatable ) and as you can imagine I got massive manpower so my lands are pretty much safe from outer powers. And yes I conquered all of it except for the colonial zones.
As for my borders, yeah they are a bit strange cause I let the Indians alone thats why there is such complexity in my borders in the Americas. As for Arabia and Africa it must be the because of the wastelands.
And I'm also preparing a massive invasion to conquer all of Asia. Muhahahaha xD
Now it's time to post my most recent game (finished quite some time ago) with my favourite nation!
EASTERN ROMAN EMPIRE!
1405 start, with the Ottoman Empire at a civil war, the Byzantine empire sees the opportunity to reclaim their former glory, after raising a respectable army, the romans march in ottoman territory, making use of the navy to block the strait, the eastern flank is secured, the only problem would be the Ottoman pretender, anyway, our emperor leads our brave men into victory against the infidels, after allowing the ottomans to suffer Exhaustion, the romans manage to get much of their lost territories in the balkans and even a piece of Anatolia...
With this done the byzantine economy almost doubled in the next years, allowing to a easy reconquest of territories in Anatolia, including the annexation of the Ottoman Empire. Now the romans turn their attention to the venetian bastards, it's time to hang the venetian doge. oh well, Roman armies were way too much to the bastards, and the venetians ended up losing everything in Greece...including the Knights and Cyprus being annexed into the empire.
then i vassalized much of the balkans, like Serbia, Bosnia and Wallachia. Time to turn against the infidels? actually no, we start the process of westernization, it take some years, but after like 2 or 3 kings we westernize, investing heavy in the economy and millitary modernization, it wasn't long until our empire was ready to reclaim more land from the infidels...
We attacked the Mamluks bastards and conquered our way to Jerusalem, just to think about Italy, we send the army in Greece here and annex Naples and force-released Siciliy, well, we break the alliance with Sicily, we need to reclaim these lands as well, so we annex them, with our attention focused in the infidels again, we annex Alexandria and a lot of land east of Jerusalem and near Tripoli. anyway, the pope isn't nice either, we annex him and eat some more of Italy and Hungary, Georgia dishonours our alliance, we get some provinces and allow them to burn in hell, while we help the Russians in Novgorod in the process of unification of Russia, warring against the golden horde, and getting provinces around Crimea of course.
We also vassalize and force-convert some nations in the Holy "Roman" Empire (including like 4 electors), what ends up with the king being crowned emperor, now that thing can be called Holy Roman Empire!
But after some years France attacks the empire! we rush to defence...time to destroy the Frenchies!
Even with numerical advantage, our generals are the best of their time (at that time i had like 99% army tradition and 2~3 superb generals) and our army disciplined and well-equiped. using some nice tatics (and provence as base, where the frenchies hadn't asked for millitary acess) we destroy the french armies, and win the war, forcing them to release several minors, and convert to Orthodoxy! some years later they became our allies.
Now we start the true push in Arabia, we easily conquer our way to Mecca and also Tripoli, Algiers attack us several times, just to be crushed. I conquer west Persia and continue to get territory from algiers, converting the HRE in the meantime...
Oh, we enter the colonization mini-game in Venezuela-Colombia-Central America, and the UK declares war, they are converted and become allies of the Romans.
the next few years are rather "peaceful" in Roman Europe, conquering the Persian coastline, and starting to push in India!
we also founded the Byzantine east india company.
(the only sizeable non-orthodox christian country is Protestant Netherlands (and that because they were one of my allies, being very loyal), the North American countries are catholic, but often being teared apart by rebellions. Spain-Castille broke apart a long time ago, with me releasing and helping orthodox-aragon, conquering some territory in southern Andalusia, and supporting rebels)
well, i have many vassals in the HRE thanks to getting that free territory as emperor, like you see Hungary wasn't annexed, mostly because they're an elector and some years ago i wanted to keep them.
It's worth mentioning that every of my personal unions was whiout me claiming the throne, so they are legitimate
And when you see religion in Arabia...well...it was that Indian Vijayanagar thingy that conquered southern Arabia and the area around the horn of africa~, they had it until around 1700, where they started collapsing to rebels... (their empire was massive, but no as much as giga-hindustan that epic-collapsed around 1760 in my Japan game)

i had no hand at this, i never tried force converting them and they had only like 1 or 2 orthodox provinces, while around 4 or 5 catholic ones
The SSs are around 1827, but since 1820 there were no territorial changes in the Empire (maybe like 1 or 2 unimportant provinces, but no more)
Divine Wind adds extra years to the end date? My defines.txt still says 1821.1.1, which is 1st Jan, 1821. Theodor VII Palaiologos is not ruling a vanilla DW game, methinks.![]()
