How is your EU3 Game going?

It's 1456 in my new game. Who am I? Hint: I'm married with Mutapa. I also am married with France.

I'm still on my Milan-->Italy game, and just annexed my Byzantine vassal. It truly is amazing to have land from Turkey to Venuzuela and eastern US :p

I'm going to stop playing my Connacht game as there isn't much to achieve for and the game is coming to an end anyway.

The hardest part was definitely the first Irish-English war, but once that was over, they were broken and it was only a matter of time till the British isles were united under the Kingdom of Ireland. :D

Then came the discoveries (if I'm in the Western Tech group, then I have to get into the Americas ASAP!) and the conquest of the American Natives and some wars to force my monopoly there and keep the greedy Iberians out (spies and the Colonialism casus belli came in handy). :p

Later on I claimed France's throne and got into a PU, leading to the most powerful ally I had the whole game. With France's help, I also got PU with Iberia, Scandinavia and Poland (by either claiming the throne or forging documents, out of these three, only Poland gave me an heck of a problem). I then kept them all at 200 relations and, soon enough, inherited them all. :goodjob:

From then on, the game was won, in the HRE only Bavaria wasn't my vassal so I released everyone, passed all the reforms myself in only one month and, sure enough, unified Europe. :king:

Irish HRE! :)

All this started with a OPM that couldn't even get manpower for one unit!

The capital is now the city of the world's desire! :D

Asia and the massive economy! :p

Africa and my ruler & advisors. And no, I'm not suffering from overextension, even with 3 Administration. ;)

Imperial Irish North America!

Imperial Irish South America and the largest country I can release! :D

Southeast Asia and Oceania and my infamy. A truce allows me to burn 20 infamy and I can get all provinces at 1 infamy each. It would be more but I'm rebuilding my embassy!

I'm the only country in the Christian group and I'm also the only Republic. :p

The only whiners left!

Burgundy

Or, you know, if you PU really powerful countries like Aragón and France.

They are more useful as your subjects until you inherit them, instead of paying infamy for uncored provinces, you use their power to aid you on your wars.
Especially Aragon, as inheritance would give him cores and no infamy.
Besides, the hit of infamy from integrating France is very big

Timurids or Vijayanagar.

No Nogai guesses? I just noticed what an amazing Nogai that is.
Anyway, actually, I'm Dulkadir in exile :p

I still have no idea how I survived those first years without collapsing to Patriots/Nationalists or going bankrupt, but somehow I did. Later I collapsed to Orthodox (and unfortunately became a Federation which kind of sucked and meant some fun time at -3 stability for going back to Despotism), then "lost" a phony war and became catholic.
What's weird is that I already lost my core on Mus around 1415, how is that even possible? Does culture shifting make you lost cores in your initial culture faster?

Now I'm not sure whether I should go past the tribal province limit (since I do have cores now so a TSC wouldn't be as bad anymore) and eat my vassal Swahili and then maybe try and give the Mamluks a beating while I still burn Infamy so fast or whether I should wait for Government 10?

What color is Dulkadir anyway? I can't figure out where you even are on this map.

Yeah, the pink is Adal. I wondered what the orange was.

uat2d's Connacht game is totally impressive. But even so, I'm pretty happy with the progress in my current game, as what is now the Western Roman Empire.

Went for Italy first, of course. Then, in the late 1490's, there was a crusade against the Mamluks, and I managed to swipe Alexandria and a few other provinces. Expansion came gradually thereafter, slowed by England starting three wars in Italy before I finally took Treviso from them and reclaimed Verona. Took forever to build up a navy large enough to land troops and convince them to concede land.

The last 10-15 years have consisted of three crusades against the Ottomans to claim a land route to Egypt, which increased income by 350 ducats/year - yay no more distant overseas! This was helped by a late-1540's war against Karaman, which continued until they ceded both Aleppo, and, crucially, Thrace. Thrace is a fantastic base from which to attack the Ottomans. Station 40,000+ troops there, have land tech 18 while the Ottomans don't, accept some attrition, and the Ottoman troops are toast. The importance of land tech 18 I learned well from some humiliating wars in my first, Burgundian game.

France hates me, and I'm scared of them, but they seem to be a peaceful hater. They do, however, have the Byzantines in a personal union. Portugal moved their capital to Central America quite awhile ago. Novgorod was the strongest Russian power but has struggled for the past 75 years, leading to Ryazan's ascendence. Sweden can form Scandinavia in about 40 years, barring any setbacks, and is well on the way to making the Baltic their oyster. Holland is the odd power in Archangelsk, and is also colonizing Greenland and northern Canada. The Palatinate has been Emperor for generations, though the Empire was weakened by two forced imperial repeals while Brandenburg was Emperor, and now has only two reforms.

And my sole non-Italian ally - my erstwhile ally the Eastern Romans being in a PU - is Ireland. England went Catholic->Reformed->Collapsed->Catholic after I retook Treviso, with Scotland (later taken over by Sweden, who lost most of the land to England) and Ireland escaping. Ireland isn't powerful, but I hope they colonize, and they're a good base from which to eventually attack England.

I think I'll take this Empire over having England in a PU :). And for the record, I will not be forming Italy. Annexing Tuscany, probably. But not forming Italy. The Roman Empire is simply a renamed Mantua.

Okay now make a one province bridge to Korea!
