How is your EU3 Game going?

If you own all of the Americas (which I always end up do if I as much as start in the Western tech level - it must be part of my Iberian blood ), it's often much better to just move the capital overseas. ;)

It turns all those tariffs into much more profitable production and allows you to keep a smaller navy. I sometimes go from 3500 to 4500 yearly income just from doing that which is a very worthwhile investment. Sure, the cores required and the change of capital twice if you're not a OPM plus the overextension trigger can be obnoxious but in the long run it makes your country that much more rich and safe. Just make sure the capital is in continental NA so that you get production from the Caribbeans as well from SA. :D

*facepalm*
And you think i don't know about economic benefits?

My point was (like i expressed many times on this thread) :
It's gamey, silly and unrealistic unless something extreme happens (like OTL Portugal royal family fleeing to Brazil when Napoleon invaded)
It makes much more sense to stay at Europe.

I really think that moving capital to the americas is a move for losers that need to exploit the game to be strong. (sorry if i offended anyone, but that's my opnion about it and it will not change)

:( Ur a butt

I don't necessarily agree fully with DoB, but he certainly has a point.

It depends how you play and why you play, if you play to be strong then I see no problem but if you play to modal a nation then it would be an issue.

Trying to making a new EU3 map from scratch.

What do you think so far, gentlemen?

Have you thought about splitting Wales?

Greece is gonna be ugly unless somebody unifies it.

The area around the Oder-Neisse line is confusing.

I get the feeling you're making the provinces according to today's borders. Am I right ?

They're supposed to be able to represent borders reasonably well from throughout the time period, not just modern ones.

I'd also like to add that I would recommend splitting northern Estonia - "Estonia" - from Livonia to better represent the sixteenth century.

I thought he was doing a 50's-60's mod? Otherwise, the Meckelburg-Pommerania borders make no sense and Southern Tyrol shouldn't be in Italy.

Is Gotland it's own province? Or just a similar colour to the one in Sweden?

I actually asked earlier about the Oder-Neisse line; it seemed awfully messy at first glance, although looking back it's not as bad as I thought it was.

Since there are no Italian borders, I'm confused about why you think the Südtirol is within them.

Never mind on South Tyrol. It looked like it was part of Brescia at first. My bad.

I just made Austria into an OPM. Just one war away from them and the Ottomans vanishing. First, though, I need to remove some Native Americans, set up an East India Trading Company, and add Hungary's capital to my land.
As Milan-Formed Italy :mwaha:

I'm playing a Castille game and have PUed Aragon and integrated them. I also PUed France, so in about 30 years I'll see if I can integrate them. I'll get some pics up later.

Integrating PUs is a loss of time, especially with a strong and big junior like France or Aragon.

As for Aragon, you would also get cores if you waited for an inheritance instead of integrating it...
Paying infamy for integration of PUs is crap unless it's endgame and you really want to do it.

Remember My (Denmark) , Red Spy (Poland>Jagiellon) and Mechaerik's MP(TO>Prussia>Germany) game from ages ago?
We have continued with it a bit, here is the world in 1640.

It tends to be whoever is on IOT chat plays in the game.
