How is your EU3 Game going?

Ottomans. I chose to go to Italy. Two slider moves to Westernization. Defeated Austria and Burgundy through numerical superiority, now have my eyes on Genoa and Provence. However, I have Bohemia blobbing now all over the place.

Strangely enough, Scotland is killing England. That's Aragon in northern Wales, Corfu, and Kaffa, and Leinster formed Ireland after Connacht and Meath revolted away and got conquered.

I'm tempted to backstab Qara Koyunlu to connect Circassia, and then once they get weak enough through TS, the Golden Horde.

vanilla is buggy. In my game as France I don't get anymore diplomats.

I think I'm gonna do a new AAR since I hate Burgundy's start. Who should I play as?

I hear Bar has the best sliders in the game

Ayutthaya?

Post an AAR if you can too. I'd like to see how someone would go about playing them.

Or one of the Maghrebi countries perhaps? Algiers?

Actually, I've never tried S.E. Asia (the closest I've got was invading as Japan), I might go with them this time :)

Though I've never done an AAR before....

How about trying to recreate Rome as Byz.

Nah, I've grown rather bored of Europe.

Get all the expansion packs, play as Burgundy again. Their start is MUCH better.

If not, then try Holland.

In other news, I started a Georgia game. I got ridiculously lucky when the Jalayirids, Qara Koyunlu, and I just rampaged through Timurid territory, hiring mercs in every single foreign-occupied territory. Miraculously, I had almost all of Persia occupied before they were done seiging the capital. I took Van, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Sharizhor.

Then, the Golden Horde was torn apart by my coalition of Ryazan, Lithuania, Poland, and me. Ryazan took a bunch of land, Lithuania took part of Ukraine, and I took Astrakhan and two other provinces north of me.

My Deccan game. I'm uniting India under the Muslim crescent. A rewarding war against delhi gave me new provinces. My plan is to adopt QFTNW (I have the yearly colonists a year idea) And colonize the hell out of the east indies.

(No, persia has not annexed the golden horde. If they had I would have been in trouble)

Also, europe is very fuzzy. Especially russia. It's a wreck. Castille holds Archangelsk. (WTH?)

A question, what do you need to westernize?

In Nomine? Latin tech neighbour, high admin monarch (admin 5 or above IIRC), sliders set to -3 innovative, -2 centralized (or the other way around).

In HTTT an Eastern or Muslim tech neighbour will do for Indian tech group AFAIK.

I think I'm in a muslim tech group. But I will never get an eastern guy neighboring me. :(

Deccan is in the Indian tech group IIRC. You can get a border with Persia to Westernize (note you'd be getting a stab hit).

After that, you can wait until a Latin found a colony in the area... or conquer Persia to get a border with the Ottomans... :mischief:

Even the Ottomans aren't really enough, you need a Latin neighbour to go all the way, and colonies in the East usually come rather late. Thus, the best tactic is to get loads of open borders (the other Indian states, Persia, Otttomans etc) then go and conquer a province in Europe. Somewhere like the Transylvanian or Serbian ones that border Hungary look promising. You can easily sell/release it after you've done.

Yeah, it's stupid and exploitative, but tbf, I hate vanilla's modernisation system. MMU does it sooooooooooo much better.

So I'm bordering chagatai now. I just need a better leader then I will get a neat 30% better research.

And ming is collapsing. Thank god. They was closing in on my border.
