how liberal/conservative are you?

Same sex marriage: I don't think marriage should be recognized by the state at all. It should instead be civil unions, of which I have no problems with homosexual relationships. I think churches should be allowed to repect whatever marriages they want to, although I wish they could all look past the misgivings of homoseuality they have.

Deleted, forget about it

Same sex marriage: For civil unions.

Same sex adoption: For, with reservations.

Legalizing marijuana: Neutral.

Euthanasia: For.

Stem research: For.

Capital punishment: Against, vehemently.

Legalizing Prostitution: Neutral.

Abortion: Neutral, except for a heavy opposition to second and third trimester abortions.

It seems like the new left is more libertarian than the old affirmative action/regulate videogames left, and definitely more libertarian and for less taxes on the young and unborn (i.e., debt/deficit spending) than the right.

Same sex marriage: Support

Against the use of non-medical Marijuana

So long as the income the prostitutes are taxed, standards for safety and sanitation are observed, legalized.

Against weed, but for prostitution?

You must be a republican!

I kid, I kid

Same sex marriage: :nono:

Think about what marriage is In all cultures (that I know of - I'm pretty sure someone will find some obscure culture that's different), marriage is a union between a man and woman to create the next generation, and live out their lives together. Marriage isn't something to be taken lightly. Of course, in today's liberal world, it's "everthing goes, because it's humanly (physically) possible". Just because it's possible to do something, doesn't make it right. It's also immoral. You can rationalize it away if you want, but you're only turning your head away from the truth.

Same sex adoption: :nono:

I wouldn't approve of it. It's taking a child into an immoral lifestyle. Plus, the child's gonna wonder where they came from, and will ask questions why they have two mommies or two daddies.

Legalizing marijuana::nono:

Why? So more people can get high? Even if it's for "medicinal uses", the risks outweigh any benefit.

Euthanasia: :nono:

Killing off the old people will only lead to a slippery slopes of killing off babies born with disabilities -- hmm, wait, that's already being done. (abortions)

Stem (cell) research: :nono:

As long as it comes from cells of an unborn baby that's killed (harvested) for their cells, then no.

Capital punishment: :nono:

No, except for the most severe and extreme of cases.

Legalizing Prostitution: :nono:

Ummm... why? Must be a male thing. :p

Abortion: :nono:

Absolutely not! There's other alternatives, like giving up the baby for adoption. There can be support in schools or whatnot when a pregnacy does happen. (It's never "unexpected", because when you choose to have relations with another man, it's bound to happen) Also, abstinence over condoms. Condoms is another nono.

By your questions you appear to be defining conservativism based on social issues, social conservatives dont believe in freedom and liberals dont either, but the freedoms they dont like are economic.

Same sex marriage: sure, no skin off my back

Same sex adoption: 2 parent male/female > 2 lesbians > 2 gay men > state custody

Legalizing marijuana: FREEDOM!

Euthanasia: hmm... I value consent but euthanasia is better than letting someone starve to death for 2 weeks. The individual > the family > the doctors > the state - without the first two I'm inclined to oppose euthanasia.

Stem research: Gov't shouldn't fund it, or ban it.

Capital punishment: leaning away from the DP, but I have no principled objection to wasting some murdering bastard

Legalizing Prostitution: FREEDOM!

Abortion: dont like it, cant do much about it, dont want bureaucrats running around investigating every failed pregnancy for women covertly aborting.

Pretty liberal, huh?

And I oppose the FDA, the DEA, the BATF, Dept of Ed, Socialist Security, and the list goes on...

What does this make me?
which presidential candidate am i closest to?

Same sex marriage: Let the state decide, honestly.

Same sex adoption: For.

Legalizing marijuana: Against, actually. There were reasons why drugs were banned in America asides from the whole anti-immigrant thing.

Euthanasia: For it under limited circumstances; i.e; only for people with terminal diseases where the pain will be unbearable.

Stem research: For.

Capital punishment: I'm actually against it.

Legalizing Prostitution: I actually have no problem with this, but I'm pretty sure supporting it makes you a weirdo.

Abortion: For

Judicial Activism: Judicial Activism is pretty inevitable, yes, but I really don't like it when judges try to push their own agenda.

There were reasons why drugs were banned in America asides from the whole anti-immigrant thing.

Yup, Dupont invented Nylon the same year Congress bypassed the Constitution to ban pot with a tax and WR Hearst didn't want to compete with hemp farmers. Racism and fascism - those are the reasons pot was banned. Oh yeah, the Feds not only re-legalized it but subsized it for the war effort...

Look at homicide rates for the 20th century if you think drug wars make us safer.

I find most of these issues pretty boring actually, which I guess makes me a rarity in America.

Gay Marriage- I am in favor of gay couples being able to have the same legal rights as straight couples. I do not think this should be called marriage.

Gay Adoption- For, if they are otherwise qualified.

Legalizing Pot- Against.

Euthanasia- For

Capital Punishment- I keep flip flopping on this. I guess I'm against it on pragmatic grounds, not philosophical ones.

Legalizing Prostitution- Against.

Abortion- Woman's choice, but I think we can reduce the number of abortions with certain government programs.

Stem Cell Research- Very Strongly For.

Wow sure are a lot of herb-haters around here! Why not pass the douchie 'pon me left 'and side and get aiiiiiireeeeeeee..........

Same sex marriage: Sure, just don't bug those churches that don't wanna support it

Same sex adoption: against, but I don't know anyone from this kinda situation, so my view could change

Legalizing marijuana: it's more fun illegal

Euthanasia:not For consent, but it's a slippery slope

Stem research: For it, but hey, if the government doesn't wanna fund it, it doesn't have to. Seems like anything the government funds ends up crap anyway

Capital punishment: If only we didn't care about making their death so calm. What the hell happened to nooses and firing squads?

Legalizing Prostitution: No

Abortion: waaay against

I honestly don't understand why people don't support pot being legalized.

I find most of these issues pretty boring actually, which I guess makes me a rarity in America.

Ditto. I'm like 'meah, I'd vote for X, I guess'

Capital punishment: If only we didn't care about making their death so calm. What the hell happened to nooses and firing squads?

I'd absolutly prefer noose or firing squad by professionals than the electric chair.
