I HATE SuperDry Japan.

To the OP + others, what do you think about those "trendy" brown trousers every man is wearing nowadays? My housemate got some recently, my opinion of him went down a notch :P
The who now with the what now?

Ahh well they are common in my area. I am walking around and you see varying shades of brown and different shapes on like evey 5th young man :P

They are pretty common here in Minnesota also.
You Brits need to get your own breed of Hipster! I mean, is there any clothing styles you don't borrow from us? First you created Chavs from our Gangster culture, and you you create British Hipsters (I honestly cannot think of anything more pretentious).

Aren't you judging people by the brand of clothes they wear?

No I'm judging people who judge people by the brand of clothes they wear :P

I don't really hate these people, I just dislike that part of their personality. It's just annoying being told "you dress weird" if you don't wear these brands. I also have a bad memory of that time when I got tricked into going shopping with them.

I dont like it when people refer to other people as sheep.

I am reminded of this.

I was gonna post that! Yeah, because dressing in a socially cohesive way is a sign of being among the non-living, worthless, blue-pill people.

Why do I see so many of these stupid tops around??
Why is everyone such a blind consumerist??
who will buy any crap so Long as its branded properly.
Then they think "Its expensive, that makes me exclusive"

OMG they have a new miku dollie out, limited exclusive, special edition
I MUST HAZ !!!!!

We've had hipsters since the '80s. We just called them "art students".

You haven't lived until you've stood in the queue of a Clerkenwell soup bar waiting to pay £6.95 for a cardboard cupful of coconut frankfurter chowder while loudly discussing Hitchcock's Rope with a skeletal girl in a patterned sarong and a pastel blue t-shirt with the words "Dicktoy Slut" emblazoned ironically across her chest in the style of the Coca Cola logo.

Hm, doesn't seem familiar. I guess I don't pay enough attention. :dunno:
Going back to this, halfway through a philosophy tutorial today, I realised that 2/6 males in attendance were wearing these things. So even taking into account that philosophy is a relatively trendy-heavy subject, I think it's safe to say that I'm just a dumbass.

:rotfl:

brilliant!

@TF: so are you in the hate club or dislike club or indifferent club or like'em club?

A lot of people do care about their clothes. Apparantly, you've been lucky enough never to have met any. Some go as far as judging people solely on the brand of clothes they wear. Therefore, they are willing to pay extra €, £ and $ to buy clothes of that brand.

I hate these people.

I never said or implied that I haven't met anyone like that. I said you can't assume people are like that just by looking at how they dress, and doing so would make you a hypocrite. People have many reasons for dressing a certain way including the one you mentioned. Judging somebody for not wearing a popular brand is the same thing as calling someone a sheep for wearing the same brand as everyone else. The irony is, this thread was supposed to be about sheep but it's basically your typical hipster argument.

I don't judge everyone who wears that brand, I judge people who behave in that certain way. If I didn't know some of these people, I would have been like TF, I wouldn't have paid attention to this in the first place.
