I've looked all the issues and although I side with Obama on most of them, the main reason I'm not voting for Romney is because I just don't like him. He just gihe's off that "I'm a big douchebag" aura. He's just plain unlikable. I actually think this is the main reason he's going to lose by 5 or more points. Anybody else think this?

I just don't find eather candidate offer any sort of plan to lower unemployment and bring in jobs.

Would you go to a bar and have a glass of soda with Romney?

If you're still unemployed, it's your fault not the governments. Grow up.
I'm getting quite tired hearing it's my fault that I'm unemployed and should "grow up". Have you even seen the numbers released by the beauro of labor statistics? The unemployment rate may be going down in the US, yet more of the unemployed are dropping out of the labor pool.

No where in my post did I complained about my current state, I simply stated my opinion of the the two candidates.

Unemployment is projected to fall fairly substantially next year regardless of who is elected.

Mitt Romney is probably the most disliked candidate, on a personal basis, in a long time. That said, there are numerous reason why people shouldn't vote for him beyond is robotic personality. The main reason is that he would return to failed policies of the past. He would lead us down a much more difficult road with economics, foreign policy and climate change.

They just said today that the Fed is going to do another stimulus for economic growth so unemployment should fall to under 7.1%.

Unless unemployment is wildly high, I don't think you can necessarily blame the economic policies of the Administration for your own unemployment.

At the end of Bush's term we were losing hundreds of thousands of jobs per month. Now we're gaining them by the thousands. It's a slow recovery but it's still a recovery and not another great depression.

It seems to me the campaign is doing a good job of keeping him as a plain mild flavourless oatmeal, as personality he is beat no matter how you view him.

I don't even get the impression he is that douchey as a person, but it's more of the "say what you want to hear". Regardless of wealthy upbringing or anything like that, he's flipped 180 on various issues since he was governor Romney. Its quite clear he just wants to win the presidency, and just panders so hardcore. Which isn't really the douche aura to me--maybe "mushy spined" when he's supposed to be the big shot business man quick to make the right calls.

What comes across most to me is that after 10 years of running for president, he still cannot stand up and sound like he has the slightest clue of what he is talking about on any public policy issue.

Don't feel bad, FAL. I feel the same way about Obama, except when I hear him speak.

I heard somewhere about George Bush being a president that most people wanted to "have a beer with"

Poor Romney doesn't even have that going for him.:(
