I just don't like mitt Romney

I can't really like or dislike the guy cause I have no clue what he is like.

Is the real romney the Massachusetts version or conservative nomination seeking version? One of these version is clearly trolling me.

I just don't find eather candidate offer any sort of plan to lower unemployment and bring in jobs.

Obama has a solid job plan. The Republicans scuttled it because it was more important to them that he not get a second term than to help the country.

I think that VR is the only person on the board who actually LIKES Mitt.

And I echo what Owen and Cotre said. Neither Mitt or Obama is the reason CivG is unemployed. CivG is the reason CivG is unemployed.

Would you go to a bar and have a glass of soda with Romney?

Sure. And tell him how his flip-flopping is offensive, explain how much more likely I am to support Republican candidates based on my positions, tell him he's a jerk for what he did to Ron Paul (And his supporters), and explain to him that if he can even get ME to hope Obama wins, he's a horrible, horrible candidate.
It seems to me the campaign is doing a good job of keeping him as a plain mild flavourless oatmeal, as personality he is beat no matter how you view him.

.

It seems that way to everyone Kennigit. Romney doesn't say or do anything of use. Sadly, as a right-winger who supports a smaller government, I've got nothing in Obama either.

Gary Johnson 2012:p

Don't feel bad, FAL. I feel the same way about Obama, except when I hear him speak.

What happens when you hear him speak?

Eh, that's politics for you, even if it is true, its another one of those "Both parties do it so its partisan to single out one" things.

Hey VR, would you explain to me what you DO like about Mitt? He doesn't really hold to any positions, at all.

That voice... that magical, magical voice...

I've done this before for you. HE does have positions, clearly stated on his website. Do I agree with him 100%? Of course not, but apparently I do 98%.

That's exactly it. That man can give a speech.

Did anywhere in my post did I complained about my situation? Did anywhere in my post did i placed blame on eather of the canidade? Quick answer for both, no I didn't! I'm not the reason why I am unemployed, the crummy economy is the reason why I'm unemployed. The same truth holds towards other long term unemployed individuals who are struggling to get a job, not just me.

When did all of a sudden voicing one's opinion counts as complaining about one's state? I simply expressed my opinion that neather candidate would lower unemployment and bring in jobs. Could we please not make my opinions into personal territory?

VRWCA agent, out of curiosity, where can you take a test like that? One that lets you see who you agree with on the issues?

I like Mitt Romney. To be fair, my uncle worked with him in Boston back in the 1990s, so I know much more about him personally than most other people.

No, you misunderstand. I know he takes positions now, but its a completely different list than the ones he backed in Massachusettes and I hardly trust him on what his positions are.

Well I have no reason to doubt he isn't sincere in his positions now. Some he may have changed over time, some may have to do with issues of federalism where he feels one way at State and another at federal, and some he's always held. I'm not going to go down the list point by point with anyone regarding them. Those are his official views and I accept that those are how he feels about them. And by the way, I cannot really think of any that have changed dramatically at all since I supported him in 2008.

I've heard a few people take that position. Fair enough. Although I do honestly wonder, considering your focus on federalism and state's rights, why you supported Romney at the offset before Ron Paul was eliminated? I mean, even if you disagree with his particular positions, if you're a strict constructionist Federalist it doesn't even matter.

Essentially, Mitt is wearing the Conservative (US) Republican Canidate mask. Placing down issues of abortion and same gender marriage opposition instead of presenting real issues that should be seen in the US like jobs, the economy, and the national debt.

I may be going realpolitik on this, but if we can't take care of our own house first, how can we take care of social issues?

He has changed some positions more often this campaign than he changes his Magic Underwear.
