If you could suggest a new leader for each civ

China: Mao, he may have killed more than Hitler, but he didn't lead his country into a massive war and lead it like an idiot.
Russia: Peter or Stalin, just because I don't know much about Russian leaders
England: I'd love to ahve a Prime Minister that isn't Churchill, such as Asquith (the real power behind the Empire, not Victoria, at least I think it's him I'm thinking of), Lloyd-George (the Liberal Reforms were a great turning point for Britain), or even Blair (just for the lulz).
America: Nixon. What? It'd be funny
Germany: Stresemann

Haven't posted here in a while, but just wanted to stop in and say the original poster gets +1 rep with me for putting an exclamation mark after Pericles.

Also, Cyrus. I'm bummed that he got bumped out.

US - George Bush, Special ability - Idiocracy.

(Thats not a dig at you americans by the way, put the flaming swords down. I just think that guy's a tool. And deserves his place in the civ hall of shame.

It's fine. At this point, a significant amount of us Americans feel the same way.

To quote the first thread I ever read on these forums:

"Ah, a Bush joke. How original. And timely."

Actually I am instantly pleased by any foreigners who know enough about American politics to make good jab's at Bush (well any American too in reality).

Much better than the crazies who think Clinton was a bad president, hopefully they can get enough of them to write a text book in Texas.

Personally, I'd rather they make leaderheads for new civs instead of civs we already have, but a Teddy Roosevelt leaderhead would be pretty badass.

Yes, I'd like to see multilpe leaders again and a special ability for the civ and a different one for each leader.
Germany could get Furor Teutonicus (whatever that means) + some kind of Diplomacay bonus for Bismarck or culture bonus for Frederick, but every leader bonus should be unique and not a standardized trait.

Personally, I'd love to have a TR leaderhead myself.

I'm not sure it's that good of an idea, though. The casual gamer in other countries would probably be confused by TR (and perhaps offended, "Speak softly and carry a big stick"). Washington is more identifiable as U.S. and I think that's what Firaxis aims at.

A leaders fame (or notoriety) has a lot to do with whether or not he's chosen.

Rome: Marcus Aurelius would be cool. Its always Julius or Augustus. Sulla would also be a nice choice

China. How about Cao Cao? He was basically like the Emperor in Star Wars, but no force lightning.

America JFK. Its still floors me he's never been in.

It's probably because he was only in office for such a short time.

The thing about Leaderheads is that there are so many possibilities, none of which can be truly representative of an entire civilization throughout all of its history.

My most important suggestions:
China: Qin. Why does everyone prefer Mao over the person that China is named after for goodness sakes!
India: That one Muslim guy who was Tamerlanes grandson who founded that one dynasty. Asoka would work too. Ghandhi really shouldn't be the leader of India for mainly one reason: He never even led India! Tuturing Nehru doesn't cut it. Besides they both fwere figures in modern India which shows little representation of Indians history as a legitamate civilization.

My more random ideas:
Russia: St. Vladamir
France: Hugh Capet
America: Thomas Jefferson
Ottomania: Osman
Rome: Brutus!
Japan: Amaterasu
Germany: Charles V, he's close enough
England: Victoria
Egypt: The guy who built the Nassar Reservoir and Damn

America needs Jackson!! :ack:

I agree with King Alfred, Meiji, and Otto I.

Itzcouatl should be an Aztec leader so we don't have to deal with Monty making nonsense war all the time.

USA: Abraham Lincoln, Benjamin Franklin
Arabia: Muhammad (I know this would cause a fatwa on sid but would be great)
Aztec: Itzcoatl
China: Sun Yat-sen
Egypt: Nasser
England: Henry VIII
France: Charles de Gaulle
Germany: Frederick II
Greece: Eleftherios Venizelos
Japan: Tokugawa
Ottoman: Mehmed II, Selim I or maybe Mahmud II
Persia: Shah Ismail I
Rome: Lucius Junius Brutus (founder of the republic)
Russia: Lenin, Peter The Great

America: Lincoln or Teddy Roosevelt
Aztec: Montezuma I
Iroqouis: Er...
Rome: Julius Caesar I don't like too much... but Trajan or Hadrian, perhaps
Greece: Pericles
Egypt: Thuthmose III, Senusret I II and III, Amenemhat I II and III, Khufu, Narmer/Menes, Djoser, Cleopatra (even though she wasn't the greatest one ever), Ramses III, Seti I, Akhenaten, Ahmose I, Ahmose II, Necho, etc.
France: Louis XIV, Philip Augustus
England: Victoria, William the Conqueror, Richard the Lionheart
Germany: Charlemagne, Frederick II, Frederick Barbarossa
Russia: Peter the Great, Ivan IV
Ottomans: Mehmed II
Persia: Cyrus, Khosrau I
Arabia: Saladin
India: Akbar, Ashoka, Chandragupta II, Chandragupta Maurya, Babur, Aurangzeb (I don't like the inclusion of Gandhi very much.)
China: Taizong, Qin Shi Huang, Yongle, Kangxi, Qianlong, Wudi, Xuanzong, Taizu, Hongwu (I'm not a big fan of Mao, either)
Japan: Tokugawa, Meiji, Shotoku
Siam/Thailand: Maybe Chulalongkorn
Songhai: Askia is a very nice leader, I think.

For England Henry the Eight defintely.
Or perhaps even a Modern ruler, Thatcher or Blair :P

As for Germany, Bismark is the one they usually use, I recon they should put Hitler in the expansion, go Nazi's!.. They can have as thier personality more likely to declare war on anyone with the religion as jewish.
