[RD] I'm transitioning. If you've ever been confused about the T in LGBT, ask me anything

Have you heard of electrolysis? You can get facial hair removed permanently for an exorbitant amount.

I actually half-want it, too, just because I tire of shaving sometimes... :p

You mean the process they use to remove aluminum from Bauxite? Noooo thanks.

Orange foundation should counteract the blue shadow well enough. Kinda ironic, when I was younger I desperately wanted shadow because when I shaved I had a baby face. But now that I have it (I've shaved off my famous beard) I really hate it...:mad:

Well, I assume you're not and I'm definitely not, but I thought I'd share a relevant fact nonetheless.

Oh, I'm definitely "not" too. And it is a relevant fact, I guess. For transmen.

Aren't there a lot fewer transmen than transwomen, though?

Cool beans. Can you tell me what you're looking for in terms of the introduction?

Age, name, prefered pronouns, where you are in transition (pre HRT I guess).

It's not so bad if you do a course of laser hair removal first. Lasers get most of it, electrolysis cleans up. But yeah you're looking at thousands to get rid of all facial hair.

19, Megan, she/her/her, pre HRT. Seems a bit light on infomation; sure you don't want more?

Btw I went clothes shopping with friends today. I picked up my first skirts, along with some girl shorts and a single top. Pretty exicited :3

If you wanna say more about yourself, feel free. Instead of a bio though, let your answers explain who you are :)

As for what else to add, I think location (Upstate New York) is important, along with orientation (gynosexual). That adds two important contexts to my responses.

Btw cheesy, the point of the slashes is to difference grammatical uses. If it's she/her/her, then the male equilivent is he/him/his

You're saying you want to be called he when you're the subject of the sentence, "she" when you're the object, and "they" when indicating possiveship. :p

Sounds good to me. Isn't that a fairly fluid kind of gendering he's got there?

I'd prefer to be called you/thou when directly addressed, "he" when being talked about (except if I'm being exceptionally stupid when "it" is most appropriate), and "they" when there's more than one of me.

In that case shouldn't it be he/her/their? Just more grammatical sense.

And the parenthesis seems to indicate Cheezy wants to be called by the gender the Wiz is presenting as, not nessecairly realizing the exact grammatical function of the various slots. Hence my response.

Sorry, I was assuming that the possessives would follow typical gendered format. I was saying that I prefer the pronoun of the gender I'm presenting as (I'm genderfluid, so this changes), but I really don't care which gets used, as, of course, presentation doesn't dictate gender, but I'm usually presenting as a certain gender because that's how I feel at that time.

I imagine I'll probably just settle on "they" eventually, but I'm not really there yet.

I strongly suspect he's just posing.

What do you mean?

Just curious. Are there any circmstances that you know of (not for you personally) where anyone would want different genders for under different grammatical circumstances, e.g., she/him/its? Have you ever known or heard of anyone who would want that? Why the need to specify all three? And if there is a need to specify all three, what would someone who is fluid like Cheezy have to do to be accurate? It sounds like they'd have to construct a matrix or something...

This was kinda my thinking. I've only ever seen it follow the standard grammatical format. The only exception is for new, gender-neutral pronouns like Ze or Zir, which really only need spelling out because they're new.

I've never heard those. Actually kinda like 'em.
