Planned elections in Russia were overshadowed by military conflict. The extreamist Teaheadistan had invaded the SUDS. Fortunatly, they were sucessfully defeated by our glorious comrades. Now it is time to strick back. The Russian army will fight alongside its comrades. As part of Russia's new arsenal we have launched another rocket from Baykonour, this time with a spy satelite, which can grant us unlimited surveilence and an ability to track the enemies every move. Indeed, as launches of new satelites become more common the space age is truely coming, to be used to finish the liberation of Earth.

With this information, sent to all others attacking the devious dictators of Teaheadistan a landing site was chosen. The Russian army assembled in Cuba and Newfoundland. From Cuba, the forces of Russia were to storm past the heavily fortified city of New Orleans into the deep South, similarly to how the brave union army had done batteling the same foe many years ago. Another army would march through Canada to strike at the Teaheadistani lands in the midwest while they are busy fighting in New York.

In this way the forces of this extremist, borderline fascist state would be scattered and the liberation of North America would be complete.

Elections in Russia were heavily overshadowed by the war. So much so, that some considered calling marshal law and canceling the election. One Cuban politican by the name of Castro took this further sugesting that a strong government is necissary to push the revolution, and that a return to old soviet policies is the way to go and the democratic system should be "ammended to ensure that the peoples government can defend the peoples interests". He found a remarkable amount of support throughout Russia, espically as Capitalist became a distasteful word as a result of the war. The FreeOurFutureNow coalition collapsed as local movements had achieved their demands through the creation of the USDR and felt that they could confidently ally with mainstream parties and FOFN was seen as too Capitalist. They retained some limited power in strongholds such as Moscovia and Newfoundland. New Russia was fully absorbed into the Left Socialist coalition.

Elections in Austria were marred by terrorism from an extremist group seeking to restore the Austrian dictatorship but with some security improvments the people of Austria voted in their first free and fair election, in which they supported the Left Socialist colaition which proposed a plan for major economic development of the region.

Yurev surveyed the new ship. She was grand, made with the finest French and Russian engeniering. Equiped with guided missiles and most interestinly, an experimental ion cannon this ship was to be a terror on the seas. The Severny Veter(North Wind) was the flagship of the Cuban invasion fleet. The other ships there were not quite as grand, but all were built to withstand coastal defenses. If the outer hull was fataly dammaged, the landing crafts front hatch opened, releasing a smaller seaworthy divice where the soldiers really are. The troops also had some technology backing them up. Amngst the soldiers there were several long distance launchers that fired a small bomb a kilometer ahead. The bombs had been equiped to seek heat, so in theory they should find machine guns and bunkers on their own (though occasionally, they would find a lone enemy soldier instead). All in all the fleet was ready, they just needed the final order...

Between the large amount of work I've been doing and a recent bout of feeling like absolute crap due to some sickness, I have also been assaulted by a lack of motivation to GM. I've never felt this before, and I just don't think I have the time or interest to continue this. I'd say we were in the end game anyway, so it is with a bit of regret I must resign my duties.

I was planning to do one last update before pulling the plug, but I don't have the motivation. Sorry everyone! Though, thank you for playing and good game all around. I'd especially like to give kudos to Ailedhoo and CivG for their large amounts of RP; RP is how one keeps a simpler IOT alive.

If someone would like to take charge, they can be my guest, though I don't think this will last particularly long; once all territory is eaten up it quickly becomes a game of RISK.

Who will be the GM I wonder... what ever case we must place a notion of continuation to the story. We were on the blink of S.U.D.S dominating the world... I mean on the blink on Gaia getting into a period of peace after the downfall of the fascists.
