While no deaths have been reported, the massive loss of crude oil necessary to protect the Raiju economy and its military has caused great concern. As such, the Raiju Imperium has remained unwaivering in its cliams to Sinai; troops have been dispatched to secure the peninsula so as to guarantee the security of future shipments.

As such, despite its desire for peace and friendship with SUDS, the Lord Raiju has repeatedly stated that he will not back down. While SUDS does have the resources to militarily defeat the Raiju, it would certainly jeopardise its delicate leadership position. It is, as such, suggested that SUDS pull back its settlers from the Sinai, and ask for a token fee for the inconvenience.

However, the Lord is all too willing to request membership of PEACE, should too much of an issue be made over a single, sparsely populated territory. The Raiju Mediterranean's well-being depends on the openness of the Suez Canal, and given that SUDS has previously threatened Raiju leaders, it is understandable the Lord is cautious.

Since a cease fire had been announced, the Republic finally held it's elections. Given that Ayane, due to personal reasons elected not to go for reelections. Leaving only Hanna Antilles at the helm of the candidacy. Surface Marshal CivGeneral has been approached to run for chancellorship. Instead, he gave a Shermanesque statement; "With all that is going on on the planet Earth causing much grief to the executive branch of the federal Government. I will not accept if nominated for chancellorship and will not serve if elected. Instead, I am pursuing the governorship of the Nova Terra System at this time. Maybe next term perhaps, but not at this time."

The elections for the Republic Senate has changed face. Largely, the dispute with SUDS years prior about technologies and ???istan's intrusion into the Republic's Sphere of Interest changed the political face within the Republic. The Imperial Party reformed itself to distance itself from the negative association with Imperialism due to the fallout from the SUDS Strife. The Imperial Party renamed itself the Republic First Party. Hanna's policy of repairing relations with the Downfall Gang has attracted the interest of both The Firebird Republic Party and the Republic Renewal Party. The Galactic Liberal Party, remains neutral in the affairs on Earth. The Firebird Republic Party managed to take in the seats lost in the previous election, reaching to 51% of the senatorial body. The Republic First party, still smarting over the faux pass with the Downfall Gang and the fallout with SUDS, lost most of their seats totaling to 35% of the senatorial body. The Galactic Liberal Party managed to take in 10% of the senatorial body while the Republic Renewal Party taking in 6%. The Republic Renewal Party piggybacked on Hanna's political platform and offered to caucus with The Firebird Republic Party. With word of Austria's human rights violations circling the globe, Hanna was initially disturbed, but knew one day she would have to act.

Governor Khol Hogan of the Nova Terra System was elected as the Governor of the Sol System. Hanna's son, CivGeneral, was elected to become the Governor of Nova Terra System. Governor Taki managed to win reelection for govenorship of Corellian-Coruscanti by still sticking to his platform of distancing themselves from Earthian politics. Ayane, with her experience as a Kunoichi, was placed in charge of the Republic Intelligence Agency. Tifa kept her role as Chancellor's secretary and a protocol droid C90E was placed into service.

Within the media in the Republic Systems, the Downfall Parodies have made a small resurgence and Victor Mile's Talkshow has only shown mild interest with the Debates the only one that the Republic took notice due to the closeness of the Election of Hanna Antilles. Many wishing not to create a "Milesgate", many Coruscantis kept silent about their opinions about the show. The Republic's society also had a minor change, the result of the Liberation of China has made the Novo Terrans and Coruscant Earthians less trigger happy. Sociologists theorized it was the result of releasing their own pent up aggression and anger.

With continued surfacing of atrocities and human rights violations pouring out of the Austrian borders. Chancellor Hanna knew she had to make the move. Knowing that her predecessor Ayane had agreed to the Arkhangelsk proposal and that the creator of the said proposal had declared war against Austria after the atrocities surfaced. Hanna had to conclude that the Arkhangelsk proposal was nothing more than a cease fire and restarted the Austrian Express to continue bombing missions over Austria. B52s were taking off around the clock. Landing in Kyoto to refuel and rearm before heading back to bomb Austria again via the North Pole. She also forwarded 75 RPs to the Downfall Gang for the war effort. This time, Hanna predicted, that this will be a no holds fight between the collation forces and Austria. Even if it means summoning the Ragnarok-Class Battleships to bombard the snot out of Austria.

The Carrier Strike Fleet in the Mediterranean were given a green light to begin areal strikes against Austrian coastal ports and establish air superiority in the skies above Austria. Aircraft, new and old, were used. From the old F-14 tomcats in a fighter-bomber role to the new Joint Service F-20 "Foofighter" Starfigthers. Admiral Hackett has been instructed by the Chancellor herself to focus on keeping the Austrian Airforce grounded and cooperate with his counterparts in Europe. The Katsuragi launched her fighters two minutes after the first wave of squadrons of the Austrian Express dropped their load. "The Austrian menace will soon be put down" Hackett stated "this time, they've dug their own grave".

While the Republic has no interest in European Territories. The marine division of the Republic Army aboard the Carrier Strike Fleet are poised to make an amphibious landing on the coasts of Austria. Under the command of General Keinsuke, has readied the marine division should the situation warrant a marine landing. Knowing that any conquest of land would indirectly add in European territories to the Republic, both Hackett and Keinsuke drafted an idea to have the territories as an open allied zone and offer up the lands after the war. The Admiral and the General both know about the Republic's reservations about holding any territories outside of Asia and took care not to upset the government officals back in New Port City and Solitude.

Ever since the start of the Austrian Space Program, the Republic has been keeping track of Austrian satellites that roam across the orbit of Earth. Commodore Han had his flotilla target Austrian satellites to add into their IFF databases to avoid any friendly fire with allied satellites. Once the conflict resumed, the Lancer fired her guns for the first time in anger at a lone Austrian satellite. Given that the satellite has been already stated that it's a military grade satellite, it was justified that it needed to be shot down before it is used against the powers in Europe. While in Mars, General Johnston of the Republic Air Force was notified about the military missile that was launched by Austria, immediately launched his F-20 starfigthers to intercept and take down the Austrian Missile.
