History: The Second Union of Partitionania got it's start after the Three Day War, which destroyed it's and leading members of the Comitern's governments. The Three Day War, started by Partitionania as a first strike against the rival alliance, the Comitern, killed hundreds of millions of people and caused most of Eastern Europe, Southern Africa, India, Korea, Japan, Indonesia, and Australia to be a wasteland. The 17 surviving members of the Partitionanian Parliament established themselves as the Council of Peace and quickly began peace talks with the surviving Comitern governments. After a peace treaty was written up the Council declared the beginning of the Second Union, and that they will serve as a temporary government until the nation could be rebuilt. Then came the Event, which transported the Union and her people to this land of the Virgin Earth. Now, the council must decide how to chart their course in this new world.

Hello everyone,

I am interested. Counterfactual history has always been a fascinating subject for me, and this is what has made me choose to go from a lurker to a participating member. I have played Civ since Civ 3 and play many other strategy games such as those by Paradox. I shall be joining as a nation called Sprialandt in Brazil. It will be perhaps the most counterfactual nation in the game, compared to all of your nations, from what I can tell by your posts. I will put up a map, flag, info, etc. in a few minutes.

Edit: Oh, I use Deusselkerr for many platforms and such, and I have had this conversation before- it is pronounced "Doos-el-care" and is a combination of Dusseldorf and Kerry, the two places my parents are from. I know, I know, it is spelled "Deu" and not "Du" in my name, but I was young when I first thought it up and I've never seen a real reason to change it.

Edit: Sorry, one more thing. is this Virgin Earth just like ours, or can it be different environmentally? It would help me if I could make it so Brazil was not just a gigantic rain-forest.

Hmm. Then is our personal earth's land transported with us, or are we left high and dry with no resources or infrastructure?

I think i'm going to include magic so i can whip my land into shape. But if we are transported to our RL world, then does that magic disappear? What about his magical Dalek Ponies? On that thought, it only makes sense to me that the region of the virgin earth that we come from is replaced with that land from ours, like swapping puzzle pieces (along with their fundamental universal laws) or that we are able to have this virgin earth be aligned to our liking (i.e. how I want my Brazil). These are the only ways to stick to his(?) provided source material, no?

Edit: Yeah, so I ask for clarification before setting anything in stone. About the magic and inconsistencies and such please.

He never said high and dry. It was just that France decided to do that, and it became a trend. If you'll notice, the Electoral Kingdom of Britannia has the actual land transported.

Also, as I understand it the Virgin Earth is an Earth with the same landforms as ours, but one where humanity never evolved. So, theoretically, it would still have megafauna etc in non-changed areas.

The Wolvenkind of the Northern region of the New World have perhaps the most vast empire on the planet, unless we count our Australia and its miles of emptiness. However, the Mountains of the Central New World shall keep them at bay as we explore that newly discovered Southern portion. They may have used their unique abilities with The Fifth to keep us away for untold centuries, but we have slipped past, and now they can do nothing to prevent our spread of the Word. It is said the region is one of the most fertile and virgin lands of the planet; we have certainly had no issue quickly establishing bustling ports on its coast. May the Lord walk with those brave men and women, as he surely walks with us in this age of enlightenment.”

Dawning Again

The Short Personal Historical Observation of the Recreation of the Malian Empire

The chaos of what occurred is not easy to understand. To simply understand the reforging of the Malian Empire you must observe the event known as “the Re-Dawn” or “the Event.” Speculation suggested that peoples from past to future in Mali had been set here in flash most unusual. Some thought they had been called to Heaven. Some thought they had been condemned to some alien plain that was imitating our “former world.” Some felt we were all in some strange dream that took collectiveness on our minds. Some felt we had awakened from another dream that was “the former world” and now was in “true reality.” A few figures claimed we had all been abducted by supernatural creatures and being set up for a “cruel experiment.” A few figures had the same believe but replaced “cruel” with “enlighten.” A few just felt we were teleported by some random scientific chance by purpose of chaotic insight. What the ever case this was worthless to the fact that members of the former Malian Empire had been among the number of Malians to be in this new world. Those past the Malian Empire were of many periods from just after the death of the empire to the 20th century to the future and beyond.

Without the structural features of the former world the peoples of Mali were uncertain but then came a man who claimed to be Mahmud IV’s successor. It cannot be vilified if this was true or libel but the figure, a man who referred to himself as Aboubacar had gained influence power over many. Democratic constitution was considered, the chaos that could have sprung stopped by what would become known as “the Consulting of the Wise Many.” This would be chaired by Ime Turay. Peacefully the discussion of a new government was issued over and so can forge the idea of having the new world being host to the rebirth of the wealthy Malian Empire with constitutional alterations discussed over it. Aboubacar, the man who desired the Empire’s rebirth most of all, came the key opposition to the idea of making the post of Emperor a constitutional one in links with “the idea... the chaotic schemes of this... democracy.” Arguments issued which lead to the small scaled but not minor conflict known as “the Spear Argument,” resulting in Aboubacar being mortally wounded and his “successor” come forward, known as Ahmed. Ahmed though declared to be the constitutional emperor, leading to his crowing with a crown of twigs and a promise to him to have an empire rise.

Ka-ba would become the first city to be recreated and was made capital. The Imperial Council was created; its first high councillor was Olanrewaju Contee. The first representative of the Gbara, the council of local councils, clans and other local representatives would be Ime Ba. The forging is still be seen but Ahmed, whom taken the name Emperor Musa IV in hope of linking with the great Musa I, is currently beloved, the democratic institutions around him be hope of ensuring peace. We expand for needed resources, with the technologies of many periods in our hands. Our hope is to recreate ourselves. We have risen swiftly and now... we must select our path, our destiny, our direction as a sun which dawned and now must circulate the globe. Will we face other powers of situation similar to us or something alien entirely? Time will dictate for us. Time is what binds us. Time is all we have to fear.
