Imperium Offtopicum: Mosaic Earth II

Settling
You can spend IC into settling other territories. 5 IC can be spent settling 1 region.

I had typed up a long post, but accidentally clicked out the tab. Allow me to surmise

Pure REXing economy by Turn 5: 22 territories/22 IC
Mixed Expansion/Industry by Turn 5: 22 territories/36 IC
Pure Industry by Turn 5: 10 territories/109 IC.

Anyone expanding clearly isn't playing to win, nor are they making sound early decisions.

2nd Union of Partitionania
10 IC

10 IC into industry

Who says anyone is just expanding? I won't be. I just wanted a foothold on the Continent before industrial spamming.

We are just informing you that the ECKB has historical claims to the lands of Spain and the Netherlands. If you could guarantee our right to settlement there, it would be appreciated.

More to come later.

EDIT: Welcome to IOT Deusselkerr! Also as sam said, it would be wise to throw that horrifying thing called sanity out the window.

Second Turn: 12 IC-6 Factories
Third Turn: 18 IC-9 Factories
Fourth Turn: 27 IC-13 Factories
Fifth Turn: 40 IC-20 Factories. By this turn, assuming you ONLY spend on industry, you will have only 60 IC, half that of a pure industrial country.
Sixth Turn: 60 IC-30 Factories
Seventh Turn: 90 IC-45 Factories.
Eighth Turn: You will have a 135 IC. You're now royally far behind a pure industrial country.

I truly don't care. That is short term, long term, more territory will mean more power projection.

Not really. If a nation has twice the industry of yours, then having two extra provinces is not going to help you out any.

I'm pretty sure WMDs and EPs are worth more in power projection than territory.

Power projection means nothing when I could wipe you off the map in one turn.

Eheh. Like I said: Long term planning. There are different methods to reach the same ends.

Either way, I won't be changing my orders.

Pure Industry by Turn 5: 10 territories/109 IC.
Turn 6: 109 IC-54 Factories, 1 banked
Turn 7: 163 (1)-82
Turn 8: 245 IC (compared to the 135 I'm projecting for you).

This can only end well.

Fine, how about this, when I have conventional projection across a larger scale, I will be able to actually take territory that is useful where you will inherit irradiated and useless territory.

By Turn 5, I will be able to one-shot a WMD program and build 5 WMDs a turn AND still be able to expand industrially

You will only be able to build 3 a turn, and one territory lost/1 IC lost means you can only build 2, assuming you actually manage to roll lucky for it. I will win a nuclear war against you either way and easily rebuild.

Try again.

If you only expand you won't have enough EP to create the tools to turn our land into irradiated and useless territory.

Well, you will be far behind the others in terms of economy if you use most of your IP to expand. And, as far as I'm concerned, economy is very important when building and maintaining an empire.

Again, who says I would use all of my IP to expand? Either way, let's just wait and see. If I die, then so be it. I will blame it on my not listening to you and won't make the mistake next time.

I will think of this as an experiment.

EDIT: You know what, I suppose that you're right. I'll be changing my orders after all.

This is agreeable to France, so long as our own historical claims are honored.

The Malian Empire will deploy all 10 of its IC into developing industry and craft.
