Unfortunately I won't be in town that weekend after all, I was confused as to my summer concert / travel plans - I'm in West Virginia that weekend; the trip to Chicago is August 15-17, not July.

BTW, any Chicagoans been to concerts at the UIC Pavilion?

P.S. I had a dream last night about the Chicago meetup. Mise had solved a mystery involving a girl who used to post on the forum, a mystery involving a police officer who made blunts out of swishers and smoked them on the L Train that was harrassing this young woman. She was crying for help in code, and only Mise was smart enough to get it (as he said in the dream "don't you get it, guys?" in an American accent) and thus saved the girl, who promptly fell in love with him. She turned out to be pretty hot, too? A bunch of other CFCers were there too, played by the other interns at my work.

By the way, July 15th is the weekend Pitchfork festival is in town. The best Indie music festival ever. Weekend passes are all sold out but there are individual days still available. There should be quite a few of these bands playing at other local venues over the weekend and the crowd that attends this festival is always...interesting.

I feel you dude, I couch surfed for the entire campaign season. A man needs his own bed, and his own place to take a dump in peace. If you don't have that, you're going to get stressed.

For those visiting Chicago, we only have one couch, but given enough notice, I'm generally okay with folks crashing here for a night or two. I go to Wisconsin every few weeks, so I'll need to know ahead of time though.

I'd like to attend, but Chicago is too far away for me. I will be in DC in early August though.

Sadly no, I won't be there. However I may end up visiting Chicago next summer as I want to go to grad school in NW and I need to visit it sometime. Then again, I could just as easily end up in NoVA or Britain doing an internship. Any one of them would be excellent for CFCOT meeting opportunities.

I just wish I could actually get San Fran meetups to work

I am surprised at how many names I recognize actually know each other in real life. I guess I tend to think of CFC OT as a bunch of random people from all over, but this isn't necessarily the case.
