Mostly Medieval Kingdoms in the West (later Empires), Tsardoms and the Ottomans in the East. Protestantism also emerged, and converted most of Germany, Scandinavia and the British Isles. A lot more people are rich, but feudalism is still effectively in effect, though much weaker than before. Population booms, such as the one quoted here: (About Istanbul)

No one has the right to ban anyone. It's not fair to the person wanting to play the game. I'll admit the powergaming and spamming gets annoying, moreso the former over the latter, but maybe Dommy and Math they're helping the game's plot (and therefore don't think they're spamming). How would you like it if everyone wants you banned because you write long stories that "stretch the page"? With that being said, I retract my wish to ban Math, but the rest of my point in that paragraph still stands.

I agree there are better ways to handle powergaming than banning people, and you certainly can't ban people from a game which hasn't begun.
I'm only saying Ban Math to make a point, as he has ruined more IOTs then I have.
I think when, after someone is warned they are powergaming by the GM, and they don't stop, like ever (By the GM is important) the GM should drop a WMD on them.

I'll put it this way: if Domination plays, several people will see that he is playing and choose not to play - including me. Isn't it better to not allow one person to play and make the game more enjoyable for everyone, rather than allowing Domination to play, drive everyone insane, and cause people to quit? He's done it several times in the past, why do you think he's going to stop now?

Even if you have no hope, if you act like you do, that's not powergaming, nor is acting confident without hope as Joecoolyo did in IOTIV. However, if you start manipulating logic to MAKE IT HAPPEN you are powergaming.
I don't powergame.
@Joecoolyo- Can you please change the title of this thread. No offense you, but it pretty much became a spinoff when the Renaissance thing was voted in, and a useless piece of garbage when they started this nonsense about banning people and such. It should be called "The Dumps." Then take my suggestion and start fresh, killing democracy, which is useless.

Omega- Honestly, I love the way you play this game. When someone powergames, you kill them and show them YOU CAN'T DO EVERYTHING.
The only way I "Won't Join" is if I get banned or faint of stress.
@Omega- Ilduce looks like he may be starting a fresh spinoff. All crusaders of logic are done here, and so am I. If you ban people, do it, but don't call it IOT.

A: If 16 VS Four, with you helping the 16, is an emergency, you don't deserve to play in the first place.
B: You have said you had 20 Million many times. China has 7 Million TOTAL (Not just active.) You have powergamed in every single IOT.
Do something interesting then! 
I recommend making speeches and story stuff like CivGeneral - I never read them, since I don't really like story extracts here, but others do.

That's a tough one to answer.
On one hand you want everyone to come in and play and have fun because that's what the game is about. However, on the other hand you want to ensure that people actually have fun and don't get it all leeched by a pompous fool with a superiority complex and an army and his ranting.
That's the logic I used when I kicked Dommy from Realpolitik. I'm convinced I made the right choice. However, you can't arbitrarily state which argument is right.
