Empires and Separatists[/C]

I haven't put every thing together yet but that's what the development thread is for right? Anyways lets start with the concepts
Traditional Homeland: at the start of the game in addition to picking an Empire (assuming your playing as a premade empire) you'll pick any five contingent territories on the same continent, make sure that when you pick your five territories for your homeland that you put some real thought into it as your homeland is permanent and can't be changed even if conquered. Any province not chosen out of the five will be fare game for new players to claim as a separatist state.
Separatist States: Another new feature in this game is the ability for new players to secede from larger empires to form new states, just like with the traditional homeland you get to pick any five contingent territories not part of a homeland, the empire or empires assuming your aspiring nation crosses somebody else's borders will then decide to recognise your upstart nation or crush it militarily.
National Powers: Just like in CIV V, I'm considering adding national powers to the Empires and a generic one for separatist states, for example Britain's can be Gem of the Empire which would allow them to get an extra five homeland spaces to stick on another content, or Germany's could be Iron Reich which will give them an attack bonus, any thought one way or another?
Combat: I figure attacking and army building should copy the IOTR example because it worked so well, or we could just go back to dance offs
This is all I can come up with for right now, I'm looking for input as to what I should add or take away, also do you think the map looks OK or should I add or remove provinces? Also the working title so far is Empires and Separatists or E&S for short until a better name comes up.
