>...We have searched infinity for years. But only now have we truly seen something...
>...We have finally done it. We have discovered irrefutable evidence of ETs. We can hear them. We can practically see them. They are many, and they are all around. This station celebrates this Week 0 as the first operational week, and we have already learned so much. Near everyone has been driven silent in pure amazement of our findings
Where to begin
>...We found the most unexpected first. Sentient floral life-forms. We pointed the stations ear, as we like to call the grand device used in discovering these many alien beings, at a random part of galactic space and immediately got results. They have discovered a way to use light to go even faster, to travel long distances in a ridiculously small time. Their physiology
Is mind-blowing. We can hardly comprehend them. If only we could observe them more directly
>...We also found many humanoid species. The vast majority of our findings fit this tag. A few of these are somewhat like us, but we cannot tell just how similar we really are for certain. They are all very notable, but for times sake I will summarize some of the ones that really made the station excited. We have come to know one of these as the Mollis Alliance. Like us, they have yet to actually unify their planet completely. They are not as split, as the single entity we refer to their species as practically unifies the most powerful of their nations. But they share a lot of parallels, including a history of war and a monetary system. The Founders are a kind of religious species. From what we can tell, they were actually brought up by another alien species that have since disappeared. They bring it upon themselves to continue their caretakers work, uplifting other species. They are also four-armed if the broadcasts were reading are correct. There is also the cyborg-race that was originally quite humanoid. They are still vastly so, but the cybernetic part of the race rules the biological. It is to our understanding that they have also created artificial intelligences that have yet to overthrow them...
>...We have reports of two aquatic societies. One heavily invested in technology, called the Nal Havari in their language. The other is
Well, its read the Hyrhhunt Hegemony. Believe it or not, we actually have the most information in terms of their behavior, physiology, and planet. As far as we can tell, they too have developed a monetary economy...
>...There are also two Insectoid species. Both appear to be hive minds with unclear goals; as far as we can tell, the G!ra exist only to consume any and all biospheres they find, and we dont know what to make of the Veloxi...
>...There are also several groups comprising entirely of artificial intelligences. One of these is apparently extra-galactic in nature. We know little about them aside from that. Another one sounds like it comes from an old apocalypse movie. A nano-machine collective. They have essentially devoured most of the life on their home system and are expanding to other systems. There is also a kind of machine cult- the biggest odd ball of the group. A machine seems to have conquered its creator race and implanted them with cybernetics, having near-absolute control over their minds. It now fancies itself a God, to which the people are subservient. However, there is much speculation aboard the station on whether or not these machine species are truly self-aware. But there is still much observing to be done...
>...These findings
They are the most groundbreaking findings, ever. We are not alone. We know with certainty that there are other life forms out there. Thats
Thats all for this week. I will make another one of these next week
but this week, I am done...

Alright, some of you may be a little lost about what to do now. I'll tell you now:
-You have quite a few default technologies to invest in, but they have not been put up on the reserved post yet. I will get them up asap. I will tell you what those technologies exactly do as well, for your leisure.
-Some of you have technologies in your stats. These are faction-specific technology that for all intents and purposes only you can research at this time. But they are not really finalized at this point. Basically, PM me about a specific technology in your stat page and I will explain the best I can on the function of it and how you can research it further.
-Unless I've missed it, none of you have specified what kind of colonies the other planets are. So, both colonies have basic stuff required for living there, and are at this time self-sufficient... and not much else. So, if you wish to improve on your colonies, shoot me ideas in a PM and I'll slap a price tag. The bigger the project is comparative to the size and development of the colony, the longer it will take to actually pay off, so don't go building those space elevators just yet.
-At this time, literally nobody that isn't monetary is actually producing any net resources. Assigning workers to gather resources based on the planet is a good start. No colonies have more than basic gathering stuff, so assigning some resources to perhaps make better equipment or facilities might be a good start.
-At this time, all your best stuff comes from your capital. Building better equipment there and then shipping them out using star-ships isn't that bad an idea at this time, and in a monetary economy may even produce a kind of "internal market" revenue. In case you're wondering, yes, you will be PMing me about how much equipment would cost. The more specifically you make the equipment, the better and more cost-efficient they will be.
-You
could just send resources to a colony and let them (me) decide what to do with it, but micromanaging in these early parts of the game is a lot more productive and unlike the latter parts, won't give you much of a headache. You're only managing three planets after all.
-None of you have an actual fleet. Look into building a basic fleet, or perhaps designing your own. But at this time, it is much more practical to stick to basic designs.
-Shape your roleplay in a way that discussies technology, or write something pertaining to technology in general. This can activate a faction-speciffic field of research. You
could just tell me a tech you had an idea about and ask for a price tag, but generally the more detail about said technology the more cost-efficient and effective the technology is.
-Consider exploration and expansion as well. You can't go wrong with finding more systems to colonize.
