IOT: Into the Fire

Ok. Expand to wherever possible.

At first, the Ahuizotl in Japan expanded slowly. For a long time they had been refugees, living in their new cities and doing their best to remain isolated from the world around them. However, as they slowly spread across the Japanese Islands a new Element emerged. With their enthusiasm kindled by the expansion, a small group of Ahuizotl offered to attempt to find the other communities that had sprung up far to the south, in Indonesia. Whilst many were cautious, one; Algrande, declared that if bold action was to be taken in Japan, it should be taken wherever else was neccesary as well. And so the expedition left Japan for the first time in years, and headed south, to Construct a base in the bombed out Ruins of Singapore.

United States of America

Old Bill was sound asleep in a chair on his front porch. With the nice, cool autumn weather, who could blame him? To his right, a table sat, with a radio playing a soothing jazz song on top of it. To his left, his dog Max, sleeping just like his owner. Ever since the fall of the United States and the Army coming in to bring the peace, life was known to be lazy like this, not that anyone complained. For the most part people were content.

Old Bill’s nap was interrupted by a short, but loud, static sound coming from the radio. He reached over to grab it, but it had already fixed itself before he could do anything. The song ended, and in its place came a young man’s voice, with a strong Brooklyn accent.

“Good afternoon America! I am Dan O’Reilly with the Armed Forces Radio Network, here to bring your latest news from the Pentagon. First, I would like to request a moment of silence for General Morgan, who passed away yesterday, after a long fight with cancer. Rest in Peace you defender of democracy.”

Bill put his head down and sat there in silence. Even his dog seemed to know it was time to remain quiet. After a minute, the boy’s voice rang out again.

“In other news the Army of the South is moving, well south, and has already brought several of the Southern states back into the glorious Union. Also, MacArthur II has announced that elections will take place within two years. Hopefully they are not cancelled again due to crime or other bad things like the past two times. Also, we are glad to re-”

A door slammed on the radio, and Bill heard the host get up out of his seat quickly. He heard vague exclamations, before the radio going silent. Bill stared at the radio, as if doing that will make it turn back on.

“Sorry about that folks, but we have urgent news. General MacArthur II, our glorious leader, has sent a Declaration of War against Canada, and intends to spread democracy there. We can only wish our boys in the army good luck, and hope for their safe return. This has been your afternoon news of the Armed Forces Radio Network. Dan O’Reilly, signing off.”

After a second another jazz song started to play, and Old Bill started to drift off back to sleep, quickly forgetting what the young man had said.
