I'm quite certain any decent IOTer can play an NES just fine, at least after referancing another order post. Give me an NES that's way more complex than say, my own starting-up IOT. I'll take back everything I've said.
With pleasure.

I've always wanted to join an NES, I like the greater focus on the RP and that it is more important than the game play in a way. However it all seems like an elite and secretive society who wouldn't like it if anyone new came along, so I've never summed up the courage to post in that section; Its intimidating.
And we have mental capacity, we just apply it to other things.
Gamez reads my mind.
They aren't that bad and they really welcome new guys, I can tell from my own experience. It didn't work a that moment cause I was just very limited in time but I'm planning on returning sometime..
That's my main issue with NESes... most of them are time consuming...
As a Mod of a Nes with multiple (former?) IOTers (SouthernKing, General Olaf, Red Spy), I do not have any major issues with IOTers, and I think as a whole you're an alright community.
You guys focus on what we call "Board Game Neses"; focus on the gameplay, not on the roleplay. Don't get me wrong, the Board game style can be fun and exciting, but as a whole, Nesers feel that the role play is the most important part. Going Out of Character is severely frowned upon, and in some instances, is punished in game by a player going OOC.
I don't think Nesers require god levels of intelligence, but I do believe many people on the forums could learn and play.
The big difference is IOT is less formal, more gameplay oriented, more expansion oriented, and less complex, a nes lite if you would.
I don't think you lack of intelligence, its more as if you'd been playing Risk and then was introduced to a game of Hearts of Iron or Victoria; Nesing is just on a whole different level.
If you do wish to join a nes, I'd recommend one the games run by Eqandcivfanatic, who many will claim modded their first game they nesed in. Just be respectful, polite, observe and learn![]()
