IOT Organisational and Discussion Thread

I must say, Ailedhoo, you are unable to understand that for other people improvement is not eternal variation and switching and trying to create equally good and exhausting and annoying nations every time. I am kinda tired of Coruscant too, but do you see me complain and pick on him because of that? Now I concur that CG should get over the Coruscant jokes, but you don't have to keep bashing him.

Yes I do admit to be harsh but it is how I have come to view things, from the use of niceness to justify badness. However that is a tale for another time and unrelative to the case here. The comments all began with a possible April Fools that I respond to and CG respond and... well the circle goes round and round, round and round, round and round.

In this I might consider in the future giving more... gentle advice. I will confes: I am by nature brutally honest. By end we must set a degree of consideration. I will meditate on my actions this evening and consider.

Now back to NN's work in progress...

Right. So, just thinking up a vague game idea - would anyone be interested in a game that was less of a nation-vs-nation concept, and more of a civil war/revolution type of idea? Mechanics to fit, of course, just gathering ideas on how much interest the concept itself has.

And because I thought of it, a "dynamic" map, where borders aren't set in stone. Rather than provinces, power would be derived from the cities/towns/resources you controlled.

A Crusades IOT​

Thy Kingdom Come is a somewhat new variation on the Imperium Offtopicum formula. Some of TKC's features include:

• Fake Latin!
• City based play!
• Siege warfare, conducted in real time!
• A new map centered around the Near East!
• Religion-specific mechanics!
• Ambiguous timeframe!
• Leader-based militaries!
• Real Latin?
• Not an April Fool's joke!
• Probably?

Also the Space Race (which classed itself as a IOT X) is also of consideration.

I ran XI until I got sick of receiving only two orders, even after annoying the crap out of people for them. Nobody sent me orders, and it was dropping miserably quickly.
