Maybe Siam should stay out of European affairs. I have observed that you have a tendency to stick your nose where it doesnt belong.

I stick my nose where it doesn't belong, but my nation doesn't. When I'm roleplaying in these games I use a different color. Like this:

Perhaps the BA should stay out of western european affairs. First you say that you are condemning Spain, and now you support them, while calling me an Imperialist. I would appreciate it if you would be so kind as to step out of affairs that are between NATO, Britain, Spain, and possibly China should peace talks come to pass.

Considering that I had claimed all the territories I am asking for before Spain had appeared (Portugal, Sahel) and have a historical reason for Portugal, I dont think I am being quite Imperialistic. Mahgreb is already mine, so of course I want anything he takes, back.

I fail to see how this is Imperialism. The definition is : ' Imperialism', as defined by The Dictionary of Human Geography, is "the creation and maintenance of an unequal economic, cultural, and territorial relationship, usually between states and often in the form of an empire, based on domination and subordination."

Now for some roleplay:
It was a proad day when the President of the CSA marched into the former United States Capitol in Washington DC. After the Union was torn apart in a devastating civil war, the South had been the first region to reorganize itself. They had declared themselves the true sucessor state to the USA, and this only proved it. For the time, most citizens were only concerned with spreading into the land that was good for farming and had little concern of the northern parts of New England where Industry was more viable. The area around the Chesepeake Bay was great for growing tobacco and other cash crops, so plantation owners had quickly flocked to the region around it. Washington (now stripped of the District of Columbia title) once again rose in importance, not as a seat of government, but as a port on the Patomic that local plantation owners could use to import and export.

Well, of course, if we are to go through with this, any invasion plans as of now will need to be cancelled. Otherwise we can't really talk peace.

Keep in mind Maghreb is now a Spanish core territory. Portugal has many ethnic and cultural ties to Spain. Any taking of these territories is an assault on the hispanic peoples.

I claimed half the world? Really? Actually, as i remember, I claimed barely a fraction of what the British Empire of old once possessed, and they had something like 1/4th of the world at their height. My claims were Canada, new England, Iceland, Portugal, North Africa (not sure how much I calimed here, and im too lazy to check), and India. When I reduced my claims, I was down to Mahgreb, Portugal, Sahel, Isles, Ceylon, and possibly some other territory.

So you see, even when I reduced my claims, I still claimed Portugal and those two north african territories. Portugal has been a long time ally of Britain, especially in the napoleonic wars, and rather than see them fall to a less friendly country, I had decided to bring them into my country as an equal state, just as Mahgreb was (well that defeats your Imperialism claim. Its definition involves certain parts of the empire being treated unequally which was not the case here).

So basicly if the tide turns and the AGGRESSOR of this conflict is about to be totally and utterly defeated with no territory remaining, you will step in to save the nation that started this conflict...I fail to see how this is 'keeping the peace' in Europe as you put it, by prolonging a conflict rather than let it take its course and end with the total defeat of one of the states.

It seems you are using this conflict as an excuse to make threats and exercise the power and influence of the BA. I ask again: Stay out of western European Affairs, especially when you are threatening a country to not defend itself.

On the event: Well on one hand you have +10% ultra influence increase, 2 armies, core on a north african territory, and war with britain (and NATO). In the short term, this seems best doesnt it? Easy armies, easy territory, but a long, painful war...and on to the second option. well you get 2 factories, and you lose one stability. So what? use a turn of your new factories to replace it. You avoid war (arent you the one that advocates European Peace? YES.), and gain some extra industrial strength. You still have your claim on Sahel and Portugal, and your set up to become a darn good sized power to Rival Britain and the others.

Well I guess that rules out peace...unless I missed some hidden code in this diplomatic message?

EDIT: TK are you waiting for anyone in particular to submit their orders? If not, do you think you could lock orders in preparation for an update sometime in the say, next 48 hours? I get a little impatient for updates when my IOT nations go to war...

Stop making lies up. Although, that seems to be typical of NATO members (at least you and Iceland) to lie, deceive, and in general have selective hearing, so to speak.

Sure, but I hope you do realize that if we work out a peace treaty together, you could gain these territories, and much more, as long as Britain is compensated in some way.

If I was in your position, I'd rather stop the war for some small guaranteed gains, rather than continue and risk losing it all.

So, do you want to commence peace talks and the drawing up of a treaty, or would you rather continue this war?

Just pointing out that taking Maghreb is like us taking ireland the same analogy applies for portugal and wales.
