Iron and Blood - Game Thread

California believes that Japan has a rightful claim to Manchuria. Its obvious that China was to weak to keep peace among its savages and thus requires stronger more cultured rulers such as Japan to do so.

Thanks.

To everyone else- Why should I be so boxed in?

BTW- I offer Technojock a defensive pact. As well as anyone else who supports me in this dispute.

Since a few people have asked, I'd like to talk about SUPPLIES

Question of clarification: Is there any negative consequence of not supplying your troops in turns that you do not use them?

I fully understand the mechanics of supplies for troops engaged in battle, but what if I have some armies and don’t use them in a turn (either to attack, nor am I attacked). If I choose to not supply them that turn, does it impact their effectiveness in subsequent turns where I do want to use them and do supply them adequately?

I do think we should do more role play ... I tried with the SRO (Zack) and some people are just in it for war and territory.

If relentless nagging to sign a NAP is roleplaying, you have a very strange definition...

No. However, I've realised there's a nasty loophole in the rules: someone can launch a surprise attack or declare war late in the turn before you could go back to change your orders, and then your troops would be undersupplied and probably fall like a house of cards.

I can green-light all military actions this turn up to this point, but after this I'm requiring all declarations of war to be delivered within the first 24 hours after an update.. And no surprise attacks, either. This is so that the defender knows they're at war and has a fighting chance, until I think of something better.

No, it doesn't impact it.

I currently have 3 armies and 3 supply, does that give me 0% modifier

If you have 3 IC in supplies your troops actually get a +50% modifier, since you only need 2 for a 0% modifier, and any army you build/receive this turn doesn't count towards that.

I am fine with not being allowed to attack in a war you declare later on that turn, but I still think "Declaring" war should be allowed, it just shouldn't take effect until next turn.

True that.

BTW, what is your relationship with Arya and the Chinese nations? If it isn't great, I'm willing to sign a defense pact (They all hate Japan.)

I guess I'll keep Yukon then if Canada's pulling out. Back to my original orders then, reposted since they're buried way back on page 7:

Revised Librulstan Orders
Option 3
1 IC into Colorado
2 IC into Stability
2 IC into Factory in Oregon

I dont hate Japan, I merely dont recognize their claim to a Chinese territory. Dont put words in my mouth, or I will hate you.

Tk- What if you are already at war with someone, so their troops are already supplied to however extent that that nation wants them to be, and another nation (maybe an ally?) decides to surprise attack the nation mentioned with the supplies. Can they PM you, but post idfferent orders in the thread?

Also japan, who said you were boxed in? Go after Siberia if you feel that way. But why should Chinese nations be forced to relent in their claims to a CHINESE territory, just because you say so?

California should remain out of Asian affairs.

Why do you not say that about britain? All this interfering in foreign affairs crap is gettin on my nerves. People only use that to shut opinions they don't like, then they go back on it and comment on things happening elsewhere.

Because Spain is an imperialist, warmongering nation but Britain is an arrogant, imperialist nation. You're surprised that people are interfering in foreign affairs? You didn't think no one in Europe has any stake in the war? Or how 'bout X'ian, who is hosting Britain's general? Of any nation in Africa or the Middle East, who would be affected by this war? All of them. Or the fact that Britain is a NATO member?

Why are you so surprised? Colonial wars aren't European affairs, they're global affairs.

Just saying, half of the posts on this thread are about the Britain-Spanish War. I think we should just acknowledge that there is nothing anybody can do about it and move on to a different topic. (NOT THE BOSNIA-ROME WAR!)

Franco/Bosnia-Rome war! :smug:

Did any of you actually declare? I thought you was all just giving aid?

Afghanistan withdraws from The United Nations of Amerosia (America and Asia). The organization, which was founded on the idea that we all wanted Europeans to stay out of our native lands and maintain peace, has become a military alliance where the oligarchy of the group seeks nothing more than to expand their own power. I feel that this was not what Canada had in mind when they formed the organization. The last straw was broken for me when the idea surfaced to fuel conflict in Asia.

Okay, I fail to see why you've almost singled me out. Not once did I actually say (or hint at) that I really wanted war.
