Is Civ your biggest game addiction?

Hope this is OK to post in General discussion...

I've been gaming since about the Colecovision years. In that time, I've been addicted to many games:

Mr. Do!
Time Pilot
Tetris (game boy, of course)
Various Super Marios
Diablo II
Worms 2
World of Warcraft

...and am wondering if Civ III is more addicting than any of these. Of the last 3 on the list, I remember early-morning times, looking at the clock, and saying to myself, "No, it's not 6:15! I just got home from work!" Same as Civ 3.

What games have had the strongest pull for you?

BF2 and BF2SF, is recently.
the original civ and pirates (dos version).
Tank platoon (dos version).
panzer general (dos\win3.1 version).
Motorcity online.

In addition to CIV III, I am also addicted to an odd little game called Hengband. It is a really old fantasy RPG I found a couple months ago, and it has primitive graphics, but is surprisingly fun. I have spent many hours playing it, but haven't got good at it yet. Most of my characters don't live very long.

Civ is my biggest addiction.

Then RA2, and AoE, and then SWGB.

Played computer games since Collossal Cave circa 1975.
Usually the game I am currently playing is the most addictive.

But of all the many games I've played these are the most addictive games for me:-
Civ 1
Wizardry 7
Civ 3
Wizardry 8
Quake 3

The things those had is replayability, and the feel that one could do better next time.

All Civ's, of course . . . .

X-Com and it's sequel X-Com:Terror from the Deep, Tie Fighter, and Sid Meier's Colinization, again of course.

AoE before I'd heard of Civ. It went so much faster, and I'd play 2 or 3 games every evening for about a year and a half. It had never occurred to me I could become addicted to a game that might take a week or more to play just once before finishing, but C3C is IT for me now and has been for the past year or so.

Civ is my only game addiction

Just Civilization.

Civilization is the #1 addicting game in my opinion, but I also find Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy also very addicting. Risk II is a fun game as well, but not as much strategy as Civ.

Motorcity online (yes this took a year of my life).

Dont normally play civ3 anymore but civ4 is just about the only game i ever play now cept solitaire.

Well I would need a definition for what addicted to means. If you mean you play it a lot, then I would have to go with Moo1 as my main one as I have been playing that for some 12 years or so.

In terms of time that is number one and then maybe Homm. CivII and III not far behind, with Might and Magic series after that.

But I have many other games that I played hard for months at a time and still play at times like Diablo and LoD. Warlords got a lot of play.

I would agree that I am addicted to playing games, but it is harmless. Maybe addicted is not correct as I go on trips and play none for weeks and addicts do not do that as far as I can tell.

Civilization III (I don't have Civ1 anymore) is my 99.9999999999% addiction.
It is followed by any flight simulator. I hate shooters.

Perfection, then why do you post here so much? Let The Last Conformist have the most posts here and make 100000 posts on a SimCity forum!

Also I would be addicted to Age of Empires 3 (hated the latest but one variant, but played about 1 hour AoE III) but it doesn't run on my computer.

CivIII is the only computer game I play.
But I also spend a lot of time on chess, in which I am much better...:D
