So I’ve found this blurry picture (not the pre-release raging meme), but when the devs played with Queen Seondeok, there was a blurry image that showed the pics of some leaders, it is clear now that from top they were: Chinggis Khan, Cleo, Pedro, Gorgo, Who’s this, and Afonso. Was that Tamar between Gorgo and Afonso, or Tamar was actually between Frederick and Pericles? Lmaoo

Unless that is yet another new leader, it does appear it could be.

Yeah, this has been a subject of debate for a while now. Some thought it was a Native American or Incan, some thought it was Zenobia, and of course others believe it to be Tamar. I guess we'll see tomorrow. Personally, I'm hoping it's someone completely unexpected. More fun.

To be honest, I wasn't expecting Georgia. Very cool though.

I must say that....assuming everything said so far is correct, then Georgia was a very brave choice by the developers. I am looking forward to Tamar's LUA & Georgia's Unique Building, Unique Unit & Ability.

Pretty blurry, but from what it looks I think I see dark (not Africa dark, but too dark for Tamar) skin, a crown that might also be a headband and pronounced cheekbones.
I don't think we'll get two native North American civs in R&F and would guess it's Inca.

I wouldn't call it "brave". If they released Georgia as a separate DLC that you had to pay for, then sure, that would be brave, however they are releasing it with a list of popular civs, and if someone is a big fan of only one of those civs, then they will likely still be encouraged to buy it, regardless of how excited they are about Georgia as a new civ. In addition to that, Georgia is lead by a female leader who was a powerful woman in her time. There is more value in female leaders now, and I think many people would want Georgia especially since they chose a female leader for them. Besides this, they are yet to tell us what special abilities Georgia is getting, and they may have made them quite interesting to place as, and they may end up very popular on this bases alone.

Could be, although Georgians are a little darker skinned than Western and Northern Europeans.

Just thinking, what if this is a Polynesian female leader?

They've given a few leaders the wrong hair colour, so them giving her a slightly darker skin tone than she is normally depicted isn't unbelievable. Of course it could easily be another leader as well.

Not sure. I'd have thought Tamar's crown would have been much bigger. Can't think who else though: maybe the Inca leader? Or Dido?

Well, it doesn't seem to match the """"spoiled""" leaders from that hokey Chinese leak, that's for sure.

Spoiler :
William Wallace and Shaka

I kind of feel it's not Tamar? Tamar should at least have a larger crown, not what appears to be a tiara or headband but we'll see what she looks like once she's revealed in a few hours.

My best bet is that it's an Inca leader.

Could still be Dido, with a headband-like headdress like in Civ V. I think Tamar would be wearing a crown.

Dido ? I might be wrong, but I think there was a video that still showed Carthage as a CS.

We will know in a few short hours.

I think it is either Dido or Huanya Capac.

We're getting closer, but the "crown" doesn't quite reach the rim of the portrait, and the cheekbones stick out too much. Possible character re-model though, as the skin tone is similar.

Eagle Pursuit thinks it could be Dido of Carthage.

But yeah, it looks similiar but still looks different. We'll see in the coming weeks.

I'm hoping we get Hannibal again. I miss him. Or somebody new entirely would also be nice. Zenobia (another potential portrait match) can take Dido's place in the Mediterranean.

Tamar's crown doesn't seem the match the blurred Female leader, I'm thinking it's either three things, it's either a native american (North or south America) queen, Zenobia is a possibility, or it could be Dido (Dido was more caucasian in Civ 5). I also think the dark skin tone could be a female ottoman leader. Who knows really.
