Presumably so you know who to behead if things go wrong.
I always meant to ask -- the star next to your crescent is a shuriken?

I think we now by know. What about the actual point that nobody likes IS?
That might have some merit if IS were wahhabist. Unfortunately, they're not. Which is why nobody likes IS, not even al Qaeda. Let's leave the propaganda to IS, shall we? They seem to be good at it.

Nope.I always meant to ask -- the star next to your crescent is a shuriken?
It is, but it is also the symbol of Nerevar. It became his symbol when Azura gave him the Moon-and-Star ring to unify the Chimer.brennan said:I thought it was Azura's Star.
Nope.
My avatar is from Morrowind; specifically the One-Clan-Under-Moon-and-Star, the symbol of Lord Indoril Nerevar, and therefore, his reborn incarnation the Nerevarine. It is also the symbol of Azura, Lady of Dawn and Dusk.
I might need to change my avatar if this many people miss the connection to Morrowind. I mean, one poster thought I was Muslim because of the crescent moon and star.![]()
I don't know, tbh.
They look like wahhabists, and they behave like wahhabists, and now you seem to admit they are wahhabists.
But I don't know of any rule that says all wahhabists must like each other.
Maybe they're just very extreme wahhabists. And we all know that no one likes an extremist.
This is so cute. Yeah, perhaps there is "a religious trait to IS". A group that completely defines itself by Islamic scripture may have something to do with Islam. A group that calls itself "Islamic State" may have something to do with Islam. A group that derives every aspect of its policy and laws directly from the Koran and the Hadiths, from killing unbelievers and homosexuals over suppressing women and implementing sharia to the keeping of sex slaves, may, just perhaps, have something to do with Islam.I'm sure there is a religious trait to IS, I just don't think its their primary or defining quality. Terrorism is.

But yeah, the "real" issue is surely that they are just terrorists. There surely is no ideology attached, they just decided to be terrorists one day for no specific reason. What a brilliant analysis!
It is quite strange one-side affinity of cultural marxists to Islam. It is like they crave to be subdued and enslaved by faithful mujahideen.Oh, I read it just fine. You said that IS's behaviour didn't strike you as particularly religious and that Islam was not their defining quality. And I pointed out how absurd that is.

There could hardly be a more absurd alliance than that of the far left with Islam. Islam is opposed to everything the left allegedly stands for, and yet they desperately defend it whenever they can. It is kind of unfair to Karl Marx though to consider these leftists Marxists. To quote the exalted one himself:
It seems Marx was a lot wiser than our leftists today.
There was another guy however who jumped to the defense of Islam:
