It is so hot society is ending, help!

25°C here, but at midnight . Highest temperature might drop for some days slightly below 30.

Fan facing you

Not for sleeping, in case anyone is thinking that. If it blows over your back, you'll wake up with muscular pain.

This sounds like Korean fan superstition. How does that work?

Although I agree anyway. When the fan faces me, I wake up with a sore throat and a headache.

We havn't researched this technology yet.

Recommendation for the OP: There are products on the market these days specially designed for cooling. Snap towels are an option, though I have not tried them myself. I have these two pads that freeze ultra quickly and are soft. They got me through the heatwave last year, barely. You can lay on them or hold them on top of you, and it doesn't hurt or really feel uncomfortable.

I find warmer air that is circulated more tolerable than slightly cooler air that is still. A big box fan really is a help.

That's not even not, that's just nice!
Yes, but you're both bald and a Californian, so you're adapted to heat.

7 degrees Celsius and the forecast is one week of rain.

I'm in a part of Oz that can have a 50° C yearly range.
Research 'Reverse Cycle' aircon. It heats and cools with one button press. Add solar electric panels as an option.
For your fan drape a damp cloth ('tea towel') over / front of fan which will give you 'evaporative cooling.

Ceiling fans work well for staying cool especially if your ceiling are 9' or more.

I sleep with a weighted blanket and an air conditioner set to 20C. Air currents ain't got nothing on me!
