Nation Background: For most of its history, the Norge remained - and still remains, though not as much - on the sidelines. Awakened by the 1st Century AD Copenhagener invasions, the Norge took part in both of the Northern Wars; in the first, they helped the Nortuguese conquer Copenhagen, in the second, they helped the Tarunians destroy the Nortuguese colonial empire in the east. Although capable of coordinated action, the Norge had failed to form any trully united states until the late 3rd Century, under Beregnar I. From the start of Norge statehood, the kingdom's natural, real and best ally was Tarunia; it was from Tarunia that the Norge got Tarunism, after all, and the alliance in the Second Northern War was remembered; also, the Tarunians, unlike the Nortuguese, took no Norge lands, so there were no clashes of interest, while both sides were interested in containing Svearland - after all, the Norge were united under the pretext of defeating the mad Svear king Berger. Though the Svear threat had been reduced, Norge and Tarunia remained close allies; yet Norge still does increasingly drift towards isolation... The country is still half-asleep; but if fully awakened, Norge might become a trully great power in North Sea politics.
