ITNES I - An Epoch of Change

To: Nortugal
From: Hong Kong

We have agreed to the purchase of lands in Olmecia from the Empire of Nortugal.
We are showing the purchased lands as we know they are at war and wish not to have our fairly purchased lands invaded.

To: Iceni

On your request we will present a fair peace treaty to the Dark Ones, though we doubt that they will see reason and end the bloodshed.

From: The Gaelic Empire
To: Nortugal, Nordrike

Since our allies have asked us to do so, we will present our peace terms.

1. Nortugal and Nordrike will jointly pay 2 economy points to Iceni and Caledonia within the next 5 years, and 1 economic point to Gaul, Rome, and Cymru within the next 10 years, as compensation for their massacres, piracy and unjust, unwarranted attacks.

2. Nortugal cedes the Magos Archipelago to the Gaelic Empire.

3. Nortugal and Nordrike agree to limit their navies to 50 ships.

4. Solist missionaries will be allowed to freely preach in Nortugal and Nordrike.

Nordrikes treaty was way more funny - though equally unlikely.
Agreed. Nortugal'd rather lose their own capital island than accept that deal.

Nordrike is in no way defeated. Indeed it has succeded magnficantly wiping out 3 Iceni armies. Why would they accept?

@Das I should have 40 thousands unless I lost 2 somehow and it wasn't mentioned in the update? On the map it shows I have 40 thousand. Two 20's.

Accidents plus desertion plus the occasional rebellion not reported for its pettiness! :p

Not that I agree with it of course...

That's just because they're your allies! :p

And maybe there was no word of it because the people sent back to send the word were dehydrating partway back to the coast.

Precisely!

Great update as usual das, just one question, shouldn't my project be completed?

Indeed it should.

according to the stats I have 2 econ banked? is that a hold-over from last turn or is it true?

I do often neglect those... But one of them may be considered loot from this turn's campaign (both piracy and campaign); keep it.

das what happened to my army expansion?, nice update, though

Your orders were WAY too late.

Great Update das. Guessing I failed in getting island outposts then.

The Nihonese beat you to them.

Indeed it has succeded magnficantly wiping out 3 Iceni armies.

Caledonian armies, but the magnificence is not lost on me. Nevertheless, it is indeed the Nortuguese who are in trouble. The Solists perhaps overestimate the extent of that trouble, though. Or pretend to overestimate in order to bluff the Nortuguese into surrendering.

We are willing to negotiate a fair and equitable peace treaty.

TO: The Barbarians of Yeew-Rrup
FROM: The Tieh Empire of China

Your puny, fledgling states have come to our notice - particularly for your fledgling, puny conflicts and incessant squabbling which can be heared from our great cities and provides a good deal of irritation. We suggest that the barbarians of Yeew-Rrup pay a good tribute to aleviate the burden placed on our civilized beings.

Caledonian armies, but the magnificence is not lost on me.

Neither me, though I am wondering how a Scandinavian empire is pumping out quality heavy cavalry in any significant amount.

Not too difficult, there are horses in Scandinavia you know, and they can always buy more from the Bulghars. They didn't have any heavy cavalry until recently, though; as already said, they created heavy cavalry units specifically to counter the Solist equivalents, though it is hard to say how exactly will they perform against those (yours is an infantry-based army, so it doesn't count).

OOC: I'm guessing the Sindhu nobility isn't on speaking terms? :p

to Solists:
We? loosing? We shall soon show you what loosing looks like...

ooc:das can you answer my PM about the UU?

OOC: I'm guessing the Sindhu nobility isn't on speaking terms?

They're confused, because technically the king and his government are in charge. Some court factions wouldn't mind surrendering, but do you really want them to speak in the open so that Anjva could attack them in a murderous rage? :p

ooc:das can you answer my PM about the UU?

I thought I did. Anyways, you could do that, but do you really want it? Because you seem to have misunderstood some terminological stuff... As it is, your ship might end up to be one of the worst catastrophes in the history of human technology. I'm just saying. ;) However, I'm not feeling extra evil towards you right now, so if you replace a single ingredient it will be pretty much as you want it to be.

OCC: You better specify which states your talking about, I doubt any of them consider themselves barbarians

Plus I'm not entirely sure if anyone apart from the Phoenicians actually calls its "Europe" (much less "Yeew-Rrup"), but meh.

OOC: Fair enough, I figured it was more like the Kalingan system. IC:

The following message is delivered by a captured Sindhu infantryman

TO: King Anjva I, Sindhu
FROM: Empress Aya Aidan, Khmer Empire

The only rules that really matter are these: what a man can do and what a man can't do. For instance, you can unconditionally surrender now, or you can't. Maybe your pride's just too strong for it, and that's a character flaw of yours. And I, for example, I can arrange for you to die a horrible and excruciating death later, though I can't say I like letting the condemned suffer under their burden for too long. So, can you save your pathetic soul from a criminal's death before your bones are flung on to the ash heap of history, or can you not?

Sincerely,
Empress Aya Aidan
Khmer Empire

to Honk Kong:
As said by yourself, the deal is signed by by the king of Nortugal.

to Kwa:
And now, would you honor your alliance when you are well needed?

ooc: das some more pm's.. can't wait for your answers.. need those for the war. btw my army is now based on heavy inantry and heavy cavalry right? after all I grown it by 60 thousands and said to grow mainly by the heavy troops...
