JalNES I: Quick and Easy

Yours is the same.

EDIT: I will tell you guys when your governments don't agree. You don't need to ask me.

I'm assuming that my story and guidelines on the constitution was cancelled out by practicality? ;)

Could you give an example where our governments won't agree with us? For future reference you know :)

No, it wasn't--but I'm assuming that the Plebian assembly only vetoes things it really doesn't like (such as instituting serfdom).

The senate is unlikely to approve invading someone you have an alliance with unless you have damn good reasons.

I was giving him an example of what the Senate wouldn't approve. Completely hypothetical. :p

You can, of course, resend orders up to the deadline.

You know I haven't even sent orders right? ;)

Alright; thanks, JD.

@Darkening- I gave my few remaining lands to the Sea Peoples, rather than to see them fall into Ur's foul hands.

And you brought this up why?

Eh- @JD- Do I have contact with the inner France area people yet?

@Darkening- I can't recall why I mentioned that. Maybe I thought you said something, or maybe I incorrectly attributed it.

Doesn't really matter.

Orders on their way!

Continuing from my earlier story:

A Typical Intrigue in the Days of Old- Part 2:

The Snipes were truely pathetic in a fair fight, but luckily that wasn't their plan. They wanted to capture the intrigue map to figure out the location of the priest temple- snipe reconnaissance was also pathetic. But the two snipes, Gel and Mel, knew what to do- there was a standard plan for all fights like this.

They ran from the guards, out the door, and into the city. As the guards reached the doors, they fell into an ambush, and were killed. These intrigues were getting more and more blatant- this was, after all, part of the intrigue based around competition for power between all the factions. Rushing back in, the Snipes hoped King Jalung hadn't been smart enough to grab the map. They had nothing to worry about- it would be very unusual of him to make such a common sense decision.

They rushed into the map room, and Gel, the team leader, looked at the map. "I see.... I'm dead of a heart attack, and you, Mel, have fled to Prussia."
"I see- very accurate."

Mel could be witty sometimes, though Gel wasn't sure if that was appropriate. Besides, they had work to do- Gel and his mates, like most Snipes, weren't that loyal to the Snipes as a faction. They planned to steal some Swissian hairs for themselves to create a minor noble faction.

"Hmm- soon Risha will be arriving to report on the supression of the Scanian heresy. Unfortunatly, he left his Swissian hair in his countryside fortress, as these nobles always do."
"Then let's go- if we hire some Prussian merchants we can go by sea and take advantage of the latest party to snipe somebody off."
"But that's against orders- we'll trigger a Snipe-Priest war!"
"Exactly."

Mel thought through his plan in his head. Despite their reputation as great assasins, the lack of any Snipe internal unity meant that they barely stayed a major faction. Mel was planning to eliminate Gel and take his position, most of the squad wanted Mel's head to take his, and so on up the whole Snipe ladder to their leading council, who were in a constant struggle for power.

But the Snipes were effective despite all this- and a force to be reckoned with.

Not directly.

For midnight sunday jalapeno, the midnight that begins sunday or ends it? :confused:

@All: There is no remotely possible chance that I will update this weekend. Therefore, the deadline is now midnight sunday. But you better get orders in by then...

Y'know, does this mean in three hours, or twenty-seven? If you can't update on the weekend, I'm guessing 27, but I'm not sure.

Our king is rather involved in the current war. However, your offer of a state visit intrigues us. We offer to you a betrothal of the princess of the Sea Peoples, a woman both fair and bright, to your most esteemed heir, the Prince of Egypt. She would go to meet her prince in a similarly stately visit; regrettably, as we said, the king will have to forgo attending...

What say you?

In times of war be not distracted
By wedding plans or evil deeds enacted;
Keep your daughter safe and sound
So when peace arrives she can be found;
We will wait, dispatch your foes;
You're a mighty king the story goes.

Beauty, intelligence and fame!
Does this princess have a name?

She does. Helen. Helen of Tyre.

Your verse was quite crafty, I grant you, but I'm afraid I don't quite catch your meaning for certain: you wish us to keep the princess safe in Tyre, to be married at the conclusion of the war? Or you wish to keep her safe yourself?
