Yes, and the standard resources are all in different places as well. That's why the resources files are unique to this game. See my earlier post #14 in this thread re resource file swapping. Presumably not an issue for PTW users as they just have MB's magic scenario folder with everything included.

Mad-bax, warmest thanks for putting together the minimal download. It looks as though I'm set up to play the PtW version--unless the peculiar ruler name "Queen Hannibal of Spain" is evidence of a problem?

That is odd NP, it happens with me too. The editor says the leader name is Isabella in both places it is quoted, and the original game had the right name.

Looks as if the BIX file upload failed, but looking at the start save with a hex editor there's a LEAD section defining the player's status. It points correctly to Spain in the BIX section, but it includes a Leader name of 'Hannibal'. I don't know the scenario editor as it's a PC-only tool, but I assume there's a place where you can customise this field?

As Ainwood won't be back in the frame for a while and MB is off practicing his carpentry skills, I've taken a flyer and hex edited this field out of the save file. A can't recompress it, so I've zipped up the uncompressed .SAV file and it's attached below.

Please can someone with PTW download it, unzip it and try opening it in PTW. If I've succeeded then it should show the correct leader name - Isabella. If I've failed then it will probably crash . In the latter case you'll just have to wait for MB or Ainwood to investigate.

I expect Karasu is even now poring over a hot spreadsheet in pursuit of the answer to your question. He is a rocket scientist, and as we all know, they can only count from 10 to zero. As soon as he works out how to sort us into alphabetical order, or to create a random number sequence in Excel and sort on that, I'm sure we'll hear from him.

I am just popping here for a few minutes, as I always have uncertain internet access during the weekends -today is just to quench Mistfit's thirst for news

Regarding roster formation, I thought that the Jumpmasters crew may want to stick together, which means that Mistfit and Gator would join the 1.29f roster, with either Mad or myself as the sixth member.
As a consequence, eiter myself or Mad would join Ainwood in completing the PtW roster.

This is not final, of course, so anyone who has a different idea has a chance to say it -I'd like to get the game started in the next couple of days, anyway.

Hi Karasu - would it be okay if I moved 2 or 3 spaces up the roster? I'm heading out of town in a couple of weeks, and would like to play more of the early game. You don't want me leading off with a Deity game, but I could probably handle second or third round, with some guidance from all the veterans here.

I am a bit spoilered on this one. I was looking at the Pic of the start and I believe this is the one that it was possible to get 3 settlers every 10 turns out of or a warrior and a settler every 4. Other than that I remember little.
