Karl Rove calls it quits...

Tomorrow.

But that's okay. Karl Rove's family life is executive privilege.

Because he's hiding something. There's got to be some reason why he didn't want to spend time with his family for the last 15 years. :p

Good riddance

I never understood why everyone hated him. Well, whatever - good luck Mr. Rove!

It's a bold new strategy. The chattering heads are speculating that two or more people will split up Rove's duties when he exits. So, the surge is coming to the White House.

He was more a burden than an asset after the Iraq war, though I doubt most people outside of the Beltway know or care who he is.

I'm outside the Beltway. I just don't have a life.

American politics is very sad in deed if we're bragging about who gets support from 3 in 10 instead of 2 in 10.

And even at that, he is still doing better than the democrat controlled congress.
Most Presidents have higher approval ratings than Congress (people tend to like their Congressman, but dislike Congress in general). Nevertheless, a July poll that measured the President and Congress by party showed that he is only outpolling a certain segment of Congress:

Democrats in Congress: 31%
Bush: 26%
Republicans in Congress: 21%

He's one of the more "evil" aspects of the Republican party. I'm sure that there are Democratic equivalents, but Rove exemplified corruption and dirty tricks.

It doesn't matter. MobBoss (and some others) has said repeatedly that he doesn't believe in polls or doesn't believe the polls, one or the other. Even if Bush being up by a few points is somehow a win.

Glad to see passed your online course of 'how to cherry pick data 101'....aka 'Poll du jour'. :goodjob:

Gee, I guess Bush won't be reelected now...

Yep, got a gentleman's C. Somebody harping on a cherry-picked outlier got the A.

As for Rove, the inside-the-beltway rumor mill is coming up with some pretty funny stuff about the real reason Rove is leaving. Since I can't substantiate it, I won't repeat it. Maybe Talon News will break the story.
