KhaNESII: S.P.Q.R

You do know that Rome became an Empire with an Absolute Monarchy, and that an old Patrician family became its Emperor, right?
Yes. You do know that the one who was closest before being stabbed in the back in was a populist? And probably the one who became emperor too...

Populares, Optimates, it never really matters.

You just need to get full support of 2 of the 3 columns of Rome in order to cease total power.

Patricians and their entire network of clients. Which pretty much means the entire class of craftsmen, merchants, architects, artists, poets, writers, and Magistrates.

Eh, clients can go against their patricians if they have support.

A note to Consuls:

You have 50 hours to finalise a Bill.

Also, in keeping with complaints from players, the cost of Legions has been cut to 20 Funds for 300.

OOC: Just in case, what happens if the consuls do not agree on something?

Actually on the Republic itself is paralysed . No Republic spending, no governor appointments, no legion grants, nada. Player orders and spending still go ahead, though in this case nobody has any money. I'd advise Erez and ekolite to at least publish a list of appointments, if only make things easier on themselves.

We actually agree on almost everything. I hope this last thing will be quickly resolved :)

Just wait a bit since we are in totally different time zones apparently :p

Fair enough. Given its the first update I'll be pretty lenient.

Also, you can publish a Bill that includes everything you agreed on if you want to avoid a gridlock. The Bill doesn't necessarily have to include every issue of concern if you can't come to an agreement.

Can't we put forward several bills? I mean we are the consuls :p we can do what we want.

Anyway Ekolite isn't online currently so I am awaiting his response before we know if this is total gridlock or not.

Haha Erez i really wouldn't worry, obviously there isn't going to be gridlock unless you really are going to be just that stubborn :p For the record I'm in the UK and you I believe are in Israel? That can only be a few hours apart, I guess I have just been busy over the holiday period. Hopefully we can will be able to talk about this later and get the bill written.

I'm not being stubborn at all, I am surprisingly agreeable :P

Do you want to bring our last disagreement to the senate?

And oh. From Britain? Lol by the hours we chat I thought you're in western USA lol
