I'm sorry about not being able to do any real damage or burning of Byzantine cities, 2 A-Cavs and some random archers here and there didn't cut it. We do have the ability to build swords :hammer:

We do have a lot of fertile lands, and a massive expanse to the north, however the initial contact with both India and France were in border of the north jungle/grassland.

Horses, Iron, Ivory, nice location. We are in AW heaven! We should begin getting some veteran AC's out of the SoZ soon. I think it is getting nearly time to trash sweet snobby Theodora.

Changing the North Kraznayagrad and Ferrum builds to walls.

Changing the Archer build in Tassleburg.

Well, I've already finished, but I didn't do any of those changes. Razed two Byz cities, lost a settler to some nasty Indians (they're dead now), and got an MGL (!), and built the first Mounted Hoopak Army.

Turn 8-I found Burfoot-on-Smyrna, appropriately, on the ruins of smyrna. There, I create the first AC army with our MGL.
IBT- Byz spear goes deeper into our territory. vSword is redlines by a wounded Indian eWarrior, but wins, revealing a small french invasion of rWarriors. Our vAC kills one.
Turn 9-Army kills an rSpear
IBT- Get Polytheism, start Monarchy, in 19. K-Grad settler->Spear. Tuskertown Spear->Sword
Turn 10-1st Mounted Hoopak Army kills rSpear, razes Adrianople. Then, they misclick and don't kill an rArcher. vAC kills French rWarrior. Sword kills rWarrior.


Notes: There's an undefended settler North of N. K-grad. Move it 1N, move the AC and the Sword on it, and build the turn after. Watch out for Barbs, there are also two workers underneath it. There's a marauding Byz spear in the middle of our territory, but all our troops had been occupied, so I didn't kill it.

My civ's been having problems. When I got the Tusker's save, there was a BG graphic on every tile! I reinstalled C3C and it was fine, but it was very strange.

EDIT: We also want Heroic Epic up ASAP.

I have downloaded the save, I will play this afternoon/evening. I will continue the offensive in Byzantine territory while continuing our growth and defensive preparations. We are probably due for a few stacks soon from our new and old enemies, so I won't over-commit our troops and leave the heartland exposed. Any comments, suggestions, advice or just plain cheer-leading is welcome:)
 
I should have checked the save sooner, I'm getting an invalid save message. Can someone load Tassle's last save, re-save it under a new name, and send it to me? I'd really like to play soon.
 
Thats weird, it works fine for me... Tassle has his fancy shmancy FileValet thing so he could probably clean it up for you... :p
 
FileValet only helps make windows saves work for macs. Kraz, why don't you load my save, re-save it with a new name, and upload it? That worked in Hawk01.

I think I may have identified the problem. My multi-tasking may be the root cause. When I re-downloaded the DOSS-1 file, it had a different file size and it worked. My running Civ3 Complete and CivAssist 2 while downloading the first time seems to have caused a problem. I will try the saves you guys sent until one works, though I bet they all do. Thanks, I really appreciate the help:thumbsup:

There is a settler near red-spot. I have settlers n the pipe at O'opolis and T'town, we need to keep them flowing out to build towns, as towns create unit support. I think we could start settling cxc farther out, as corruption becomes crushing beyond 20 or so tiles from the capitol. Here is the save:
