In the recent Leaderhead Lottery, Sword_of_Geddon won.

Ramses II..

One of the most famaos(or infamaos) Pharoahs of Egypt. He was the Pharoah in the book of Exodus(in the Bible). He fought several successful campaigns against the Hittites. He was the last major Pharoah of importance before the Persian conquest of Egypt and Alexander the Great's liberation of Egypt, with the establicement of the Ptomeny Line, which ended with Cleopatra.

He voted for Ramses II and so he won. :)
The second post will contain all the previews.

Bare with the poor previews.

Historical Ramses II

Based on the sculptures and painting made by the Egyptians.

Hollywood's Ramses II

Since the real one only looks similiar to this, he would be more of a generic pharoah.

That looks good.. but his is too 'close' to the cameracompared to most other leader heads....

Runtime DNA has a good one... it's $7. It's better than the one from the Temple Guard pack and lasts a lifetime... :p

Here's the Temple Guard...

And here's the other one...

You decide. And El Linko

A) his back ground is too stuffy- Ramases was famous for building huge out door temples with massive colonades lite by the sunny sky- it would only do justice to him if he were to have such a back ground

B)Ramasees probably wasnt caucasian- though in any event, hsi skin shoud; be of a darker tone, and his nose made larger, more of a 'classic Roman nose" then anything else- there are good profiles of his mummy unraveld, and numerous art works of him- I suggest you take advantage of them to create, unlike most civ leaders, both official and none, a realistic picture of the man who wa sone of, if not the best ruler of egypt

Yeah, I remember playing Civ 1 and meeting Ramesses II with those things crossed over. De-Caucasian him so to speak though ;) ( ...if that passes for a word, this is)

I remember reading he was blond... :hmm: Sounds pretty caucasian to me.

that's a mistranslation of "fair haired"- he was described this was since he was known to have deyed his hair blood red each and every day- the greeks described both blond and red hair as 'fair", which means only blond in todays terms :p

Yup, the focal length of the camera is too short. Looks like you're at 25 mm. Try 50 or 75 mm.

Actually his mummy has non-dyed red hair, so the dusky hued caucasian still applies. ;)

Well i guess Mrtn that means you need to update your Egyptology, ;) as Raameses II is displayed with his head unwrapped. :D

Hehe, the background was temporary. I had to put one in for the preview. I'll get a nice big view of a temple from the outside. :)
He isn't that caucassian, but if you guys think so...I'll darken him more, as for his nose? :o I dont know if making it bigger is a good idea. The side view shows the real length, which is very large.

if you can understand what Im writing..

Updated
"De-caucassianized" (:p)
Added open background.
Headdress is now owned by Ramses II
Thanks to Dom Pedro II for the headdress.

Cant think of more to write in the update....

@Dom pedro II, could you delete those pictures for the headdress? It makes the thread seem so long. :)

Note that some Berbers are blond... and this people goes back to the indigenous (and original) people of North Africa (magrebh).
They are different from the Arab people.

Could you change this crown (Nemes) to the "Double Crown" (Pschent).

This crown (Pschent) is composed of the white "Upper Egypt" crown (Hedjet) and the red "Lower Egypt" crown (Deshret).

See this site for drawings : http://www.civilization.ca/civil/egypt/egcgov5f.html
