Well I'm actually not as good as some of my LHs might look, I suppose I'm good at shining sh*t, so to speak. But I think a few slight changes might give him a better look.

If anyone has the time and motivation, I'd like to request an ancient berber leaderhead. By that I mean actual, ancient, pre-arab, pre-maghreb empire berber. So who the ancient world referred to as Libyan, aka the Libu / Ribu, Tjehenu, Tamahu etc. They were actually very significant, even conquering Egypt at one point.

There are several leaders who can be used but since all their ancient depictions are very de-constructed a general leaderhead that can be applied to the various leaders would be best.

It should resemble a mix between these two pics:

The most important feature IS the feather on their head (Perhaps taken from King_Spain / combined with the Coloradas Headband if that's possible).

Besides that little to no clothes (as their war chiefs and warriors wore few clothes in battle, in fact often only a penis sheath, and rarely a cape). Light (Egyptians called them white skinned) skin, Light eyes, darkish hair - plated or straight). They did paint their skin. Think combination Berber + Native American almost. If you can add an archers quiver to just sit on his back would be good too.

I doubt anyone would want to pick this up. But I think it'd be interesting and good representation to a group almost entirely missing from civ.

I know but Al-Kahina is much later, an entirely different ethnic group actually. She's already seventh century and Jewish. It's more modern berber after all the middle-eastern influx.

I'm requesting ancient Libyan, who are berber but perhaps best described as the ethnic group that modern berber came out of, pre-judaism, pre-islam, conquerors of ancient Egpyt. They were basically the indigenous people of the Sahara (even before the Sahara was a desert). Plus the ancient Greeks separated the ancient Libyans / Berbers into two ethnic / cultural groups; those west of a specific lake who were more migratory (Al-Kahina is best described as descendants of them in a more Maghreb thinking) and those east of the lake that were more sedentary and major agricultural powers of pre-desert Sahara (my request).

Al-Kahina is more a Maghreb leaderhead (though still an excellent suggestion, and if someone was making a general berber civ - like the current Native American or Polynesian - using her and my request would make great leaderheads) but an entirely different representation than what I am suggesting.

Basically, It's like someone requesting a leader for ancient Aksum and then suggesting a more modern Ethiopia, Rome and suggesting an Italian, or an Zorastian Persian and suggesting someone from more Islamic Persia/Iran.

Al-Kahina was perhaps undoubtedly more important for Berber modern 'national' identity, but in terms of world history the ancient Libyan 'Berber' were more important due to their conquest of Egypt and being major allies with the Sea Peoples.

And besides, Berbers have, in all honesty, basically no representation in Civ. Two leaderhead is hardly requesting too much for something that has zero representation.

One thing I've noticed about almost all the buttons made for new LHs: They're too small! Maybe nobody else has had this problem, but any button crafted at 64 pixels square shows up 1/4-size on my screen; I just wanted to bring to people's attention that it appears they need to be 128px square instead.

Are you playing on Low graphics? A lot of custom graphics have display problems on low (happens sometimes in how the dds file is saved or with which program).

Nope, High graphics.

The buttons should be saved with mip-maps disabled to avoid this kind of screwieness. Prevents them from going blurry too.

Actually, according to the tutorial that IgorS has apparently been using, you've got it backward - it's exactly the MIPmaps that cause the problem, or at least it's a contributor. Or so it appears, at least.
