Let's Play: Deity BC Space: Strategies from a 10 year veteran

Thx guys.
If I don't retire, possible followup games:
1) BC Space landing (10 turns faster)
2) 1000 BC Culture* victory  Right Kaitzilla? or 1500BC? (*espionage victory really)
3) 15,000,000 score

Borders are expanding and domination is coming, so I free another colony, Welcome Pacal, glad you didn't show up earlier with holkens instead of warriors.
That gives me some breathing room. 72.91/74

But then Pacal gets some random culture event and runs artists, so both his cities' borders pop instantly. I'm back up to like 73.3/74 already.

I have to kill Peter. I've been planning this. I have transports loaded with amphibious Combat 3 knights.
I build a couple more disposable, 'mayfly class' transports and knights.
My best transports and knights can survive if they end the turn in a city and loaded on the transport. Good thing my super-transport moves 9 :D. I can hit Peter and sail back to my island. No threat to the city means no whipping.

Long story short, I get Peter's 2 main cities and free that colony. Welcome (back) Victoria.
Domination limit goes up to 76.

Turn 335
Now I'm 73.44/76%
Should be fine now, but I can always give away (liberate) cities if necessary.

Turn 336

(got flight, drama, advanced flight, stealth, and then...)
Future Tech 1
+1 :) +1 :health:

my tech rate is actually quite low since I'm working food and have been building stuff (some hospitals, wonders, execs, military/transports). And no merc specialists.

Still spreading corps
I spread 3 this turn, then on what's likely to be the final spread of the game...
sushi fails to spread. No biggie. That didn't happen much this game and this is about the least critical time.

Romans net a fish and I trade for it.
Sushi: 42:food:

Iron magically appears in my mine, but it doesn't raise the Mining Inc beyond 57h.
FutureTech 2, 3, 4, Fascism, MilTradition.

Did you get the free Great General from Fascism? :)

Impressive. Now your only stress is to avoid winning score the ship lands.

Well, it's too late to send him to outer space . . . :)

Congratulations WastinTime, a great feat!

I find it funny that you introduced the wonderbread economy with the premise of having unlimited gold, and spent the first part of the game making it happen via failgold - and then in the second part, you did the exact opposite and went to nearly unlimited NEGATIVE gold via strike. A very extreme game for sure.

When I started this game, I wasn't sure how much I'd play in strike if at all. I was going to do the traditional courthouse, forbidden palace, wall st., etc. I can't recall when I got the idea to jump in with both feet and make the strike monster my pet. I was definitely making it up as I went along.

(Futuretech 5)
I got Democracy about 7 turns ago and built Statue of Liberty
I sometimes wonder if early SoL could really pay off. I just hate that Democracy is a tech that you don't need at a critical time. And then if you make a colony, they get it and switch to Emancipation

I'm not building much any more, and my bpt has recovered from that and the loss of Merc--even before SoL.

Now it's 25,000 bpt.
If I get enough health from FutureTech's, I might drop environmentalism just to end on max bpt using Merc.

Thx guys.

2) 1000 BC Culture* victory  Right Kaitzilla? or 1500BC? (*espionage victory really)
3) 15,000,000 score

By all my calculations, 1000BC is the razor's edge for a culture victory using Spies.

It can't be done faster.
300BC is the current record.

But, I hear through the grapevine you thought up a new scheme to generate espionage? :w00t:

T350, 1AD
4,000,000 score
I picked up Mil.Science. Does a Military Academy add to score? I guess I'll find out. What else to do with the GG.

T352

75.03/76% land. Still safe.

Vicky is my new colony replacing Peter--the final, original AI.
I gift Vicky a couple workboats the past few turns and she gets 2 fish. I trade for them, but sushi is still at 42:food: Just needed one more.
I even got the one from the Mongols. They finally built a workboat after trashing the two I gave them.

With only 6 turns to go, it's time to look at every. single. city, and if it can't grow by the end of the game, run scientists.
Or work just enough food to grow one last time.

That makes my bpt jump to over 29,000+ bpt

I should make 30K by the end of the game.

(breaking for the day. I should submit to the HoF tomorrow)

354

I spend waste way too much time adjusting specialist and food, but I enjoy it. Leads to another huge jump in research:
BPT is now over 30,000

75.03/76% land

FutureTech 9

fyi, Scotland Yard does not give wonder points and neither does the GG's Military Academy.

358

many cities grew their final time this turn, so stop working food and work scientists there.

36,600 bpt

last turn...
