LINES-World of Magic

I'd prefer that you take an NPC. It's one less nation that I have to control. :p

About the first page, everything on it is as of the latest update, except the starting map. This is the current map:

WOMV4.png

The best NPCs are, let's see, the Iroquois, Balaeria, Neoscythia, Korajo, and the Vol'Kiss.

Vol'Kiss it is. Just because the name is kewl. What's the current bg for that one?

Argh! Anyway, I'll change it if there's any problems.

Vol' Kiss

---------------

King Tarask, Godlike King of Vol'Kiss stood near the helm of the Firestone, flagship of the Vol'Kiss navy. He had assembled a small troupe of a hundred and fifty common infantry and fifteen Vol'Kiss Geomancers, heading towards the Dusk Isle to fortify what areas had remained unconquered. The Vol'Kiss of old had spread into what he deemed a considerable size, but Tarask craved for more. The Geomancers that had been stationed at Dusk Isle reported that a great mountain had been found, featuring a natural labyrinth of caves that would be perfect for defense. The plan to fortify the island had not gone perfectly, though; casualties had been suffered as the Geomancers had put too much energy into creating additional caves inside the mountain, and a failed spell had erupted inside the mountain, uncovering a previously hidden current of water. The damage reports were about ten infantry and the foolish Geomancer who caused the catastrophe to have drowned inside the mountain. All was not lost, though: The exposed water current, after being redirected by the sorcerers, had become a useful source of freshwater for the new fortress.

Tarask smiled as he imagined the conquests that would be ahead of him, but never forgot that unseemly lust for power had been the bane of many a ruler. Tarask was no fool, however: He had planned to explore the land due south, where important beach heads had already been established.

All in due time.

Question time!

1. How does the city founding process work?

2. Can I change my unique unit?

Alright, thanks ;) The reason I PM'ed you was that you were the only one online

Disenfrancised, let's get marching! You saw the invasion plans that I tried to send as orders last turn, any changes you want to make? Draw up a map?

Abyssinia Avalon Elgovia Gorin Germania Hawaii Hyperborea Illyria Khemri Mongolia Sudafrika (if gladinia doesn't send orders, I will destroy this miserable scumhole) Tripolye.

Come on guys, I need orders. The update's on Saturday, but I can get an early start if you send orders by tomorrow. I've got Friday off school.

I won't be able to send orders till a) erik gets back to me and b) I finally hand in my coursework so about 5ish tomorrow? thats GMT and your on...-8? ha! so 3 in the morning good enough for you? :)

Sure, 3 am will work. I'll start the update tomorrow, finish Saturday. Or Sunday if everybuddy procrastinates.

Yes. You're all my buddies. :p

j/k, just a typo.

Okay. I sent in orders. twice. forgot a map in the first one, but the second one has all the maps. bt now it's time to write!

IC:
Lady morgan sighed as she layed back onto he bed. Finialy, everything had been moved into the Tower of Imortality. and the Council of Elders would be meeting later that week. but untill then, the tower was here. ~you would be proud of me father~ she thought to herself. ~our nation is growing, and gaining in strength. with our Allies the Gorin to the east, along with Hyperborea and Elgovia to the west, we stable in the middle. protected by the vast sea, and our Ships that sail them. soon we will start the resurection of the great tree, and then. and then we will be free of HIS grasp..~

Orders sent.

From: Hawaii
To: Vol'kiss

We send our best wishes to your new leadership, and wish to renew our vows of friendship. (ooc:You were the first nation we met. We currently have very good relations, as well as trade with each other (which for some reason isn't in your stats, but you can see it in mine). Please don't start being aggressive against me! This game, I'm trying to peacefully expand. Also, note that I'm an island nation with aquamancy, so I would be nearly impossible to invade, just in case you're thinking of that ;))

From: Hawaii
To: Antarctica

Very well. We shall begin trade this turn.

OOC: Trade is two-way, right? So Vol'kiss should have trade with me in its stats.

I often miss trade routes for NPCs. But hey, they're NPCs :p

I'll add them now that the Vol'Kiss are a human nation.

Here's my "back to you": The map looks excellent, I'm approving it post haste, and my invasion orders are already in! (Forwarding a copy to you now.)
I suggest we invite the Iroquois to join the Pact, let's take a moment of consideration for Avalon, but we should welcome them too.

As it received Iggy's approval, here it is in all it's splendour:

Vol'Kiss Ranger

A unit focused on speed. The Vol'Kiss ranger is accustomed to volcanic terrain and tropical jungles, is effective as a guerrilla unit, capable of routing and chasing enemies, but receives a penalty if forced to fight on terrain it is not used to (snow, plains, desert, such). It is average when fighting in open terrain.

And now..

From Tarask of Vol'Kiss to the Elders of Hawaii:

'We acknowledge your wishes of friendship and thank the Council of Elders for this opportunity to commence trade. We respect your aquamancy and the benefits it allows, yet remind that our Geomancers and Vol'Kiss Rangers are most capable of defending our fair lands. As a sign of goodwill, we propose a pact of mutual magical research so that we may learn to defend and understand each other.

There shall be peace in our time, King Tarask of Vol'Kiss'

Spoiler :
('Tarask of the Vol'Kiss has noticed your cute little civilization.'

 :crazyeye: That's what I'd call an annoying start. But I won't say that )
