LINESII- Into the Darkness

The Citadel suggests that Veritas and Khmeri return to the prewar borders/status quo, and that all parties involved sign a 5 turn NAP. As to Mogul, the Citadel believes that the people of Mogul should decide for themselves, with the options of becoming independent or becoming part of either Veritas or Khmeri. The Citadel, having a democratic government itself, offers to make sure the decision process is fair.

@Iggy: Is this acceptable to the pacifist movement? It's what I think they would want...

Who are the Lengels? Do you know their numbers? Do they have horses or iron? If they are as much of a threat as they seem to be, does it not makes sense to unite to drive them off? The Citadel would be pleased to provide assistance in unifying and repulsing the Lengels.

To: Gammorrea

We see that you have continued to attack Malkavia, despite our request. We will now come to their aid. We reccommend that you attempt to coexist peacefully with us and Malkavia, or things will go badly for you.

From: The Citadel
To: Malkavia

Since Gammorrea continues to attack, we will send advisors to train you in Bronze weaponry and technology.

Also @Iggy: You say in the update that the full attentions of Gammorrea were directed towards Malkavia. If this is the case, why did we lose an eco point and not them?

Thlayli said:
I could agree to that, especially seeing as how Mogul asked to join me in the first place. ;)
Yes, but that was more than a century ago, before war ravaged them. They may have different opinions.

The only way to find out is to ask.

Fair enough.

From: Veritas
To: Largely Oneist citizens of Mogul

We're curious. Would you rather be independent, like you were under the "leadership" of the Hajan dynasty, part of Khemri, which has invaded and manipulated you for a couple centuries now, or part of Veritas, who gives you total political freedom and freedom of religion?

We propose the following, fair treaty.

First Treaty of Dava

Article One - All sides are to immdealy cease fighting and return to their respective borders.

Article Two - A 125 year ( 5 turns) NAP will be mandattory for all members involved.

Article Three - Khermi will issue an aplogy to Nurmafer and agree to the borders between them. Also, the NAP will be place between the said countries. Khermi would also give Nurmafer money for war damges totalling, and not any less than, enoguh to equal one eco point.

Article Four - Veritas will also issue an apology to Khermi for instutaing war and agree to the borders set between them. Veritas will pay around two economy point for damages inflicted upon Khermi.

Article Five - Gorin and Shalamari will agree to the borders et up, and no payments will be issued ot them. As they choose to get involved, they have to right to cry for payment of "damages" they suffered.

Article Six - Gerber will issue an apology to Tristaria and cede all lands east of the Kalmar river. Lands controlled by Tristaria will be added into their nation, and we will set about creating an independant east Gerber. Geber will pay one economy point to Tristaria for damages inflicted.

Article Seven - All nations will respect the religous rights of any minority living within their borders.

Articel Eight - A vote will ocur in Mogulia to decide if they wish to remain part of Veritas, become a part of Khermi, or return to an independant nation.

Article Nine - Going back to the Gerber lands, we propose the following. In the red will be the new Republic of Gerbi. It will be headed by a council and the nation will have no army but will be defended by the Davian army.

OOC: For whoever that cares, my aim is Shadowsetdays

This in no ways means you are a puppet,I have not touched your religion or your government, I have only laid certain constraints on you which may be negotiated....

Do you stick your hand up his mouth then?

OOC: The update was VERY amusing :D Good job Iggy

Emperor Han is the grandson of Liu Bang iggy ;) I do dislike having rulers who die off every turn

On the matter of the Great War, the results of it is similar to that of Europe with her many rivers and various mountains. The competition will thus encourage innovation and technological advancement in order to deal with each other. It also means that no one nation can ever rule over the whole area as in my opinion Veritas had the greatest chance of doing that momentus task.

 at Davar's agricultural reforms, sounds like something Mao would do :p

And I'm afraid I don't understand how catapults are able to sink warships, since cannonballs weren't able to sink ships in the Age of Discovery either and the primary way of naval combat was for a long time ramming, flaming arrows and boarding

Shangei's government isn't monarchial correct? More like a Union of Cities and Tribes right? Like an Aristocratic Republic?

Actually theirs a fair amount of IC reasons for that war, Khemri has always felt threatened by Nurmafer.

Could Veritas not feel threatened by Khermi? If so, that would be a good enough reason in your books.

Here's the opinion of the leader of Veritas' Peace Movement. His name is Dracus Teranius, middle aged, and a follower of the Church of the One.

Here is the peace treaty I would consider fair for all involved nations, were it in my power to make one.

The River Wardash, where it flows through former Mogul lands, will be the border of Khemri and Veritas. Khemri may keep the western bank, as it no longer has much population to mention, and Khemri deserves it as recompense for its losses.

Veritas will pay Khemri on an eco point per turn basis, until Khemri is strong enough to maintain a balance of power, ensuring a more peaceful future.

Dracus Teranius

Of course, this brief letter doesn't cover all of the issues, and has a slight pro-Veritas slant. But that's the official opinion of the Veritasian pacifists.

Well, I'm going to sleep. Darkening, we need to talk on MSN tomorrow.

Great update Iggy! If you add the casualties when Cendrian's army was lost, don't forget to add whatever they inflicted on the Crystalists.

Oh, and btw, Veritas could also agree to that offer. If Khemri rejects all 3 of the peace treaties that I can agree to...well then my pacifists will be satisfied.

OOC: Iggy, do you have aim/msn? :(

To Veritas
From Davar

We will pull two-thirds of our army out of the Gerber lands and , with renewed numbers, head for the front lines. Together we can beat these barbaric invadors.

To Gerber
From Davar

Even if the rest refuse to go along with the treaty, we offer it for you. Think about it and make the right choice before you lose more land.

To Tristaria
From Davar

We hope you will sign this treaty so we can get this pointless war over with and get to the big problem. You're getting what you want so it should be no problem.

From: Veritas
To: Davar

Yes, we will do that if Khemri refuses this peace.

From: Veritas
To: Khemri

Attached is the following proposal from the leader of our Peace Movement. Veritas will make such a payment to Khemri, and will also send unarmed laborers to rebuild Khadon and Alexandria...just as we offered so long ago.

As for assurances, the mere fact that we trusted you when you betrayed us the first time should be assurance enough. That is our final word.

-High Elder Sentilian

P.S. We want the remains of our Stratikrator returned.
