Khemrian Polytheism
The revelation of change, came with the foundation of Alexandria. Animilism was no longer satisfactory, The gods changed the further away from Khadon you travelled. And the People of Alexandria felt this most keenly, unsure wether they worshiped the True gods of Khemri or wether this was merely a pale reflection of their true beings.
Until the Great Prophet Sathya.
Sathya was but a commen man of Alexandria, Where he was from originally is unknown, but he began the Codification period. A Period where the Khemrian Gods were Codified, And were written upon Parchment, in the Holy Codex. Later came "The Book of the Dead" and "Mazdaism", which were incorperated into the Holy Trinity. A set of Scrolls encompassing most Holy Writ.
The Holy Codex lays the foundations, it is the Creation Myth, the naming of the gods and their tasks and duties. Finally some of the young human hero's are in here.
The Book of the Dead, is the book of morals, it lays down the foundation of how the people should be and how they should act for the betterment of themselves. This is usually metaphorically, but some scripture is understood to be literal.
The Mazdaism, is the path of the Future, In it is the Future path of the Khemrian people, their Task. And the First signs of monotheism, a Pantheistic God.
This change brought about a great change to Alexandria, mixed with news of Barbarian hordes approaching, the people worried for themselves, turned to Sathya for guidance. Here he brought about the Holy Codex. And in him the people found hope. And when he passed away, they inscribed his Holy Words.
Priests of Sathya, as they were called, were the first literate cast of people in Khemri. The elite few. As such they taught the Holy Codex. Alexandria was their great home, residing in the Temple Of Sathya.
