Curious as to the cost of satellites, what warrants such a price? Even advanced military satellites + launch costs a mere billion dollars max. Manned missions should be expensive and that is fine, but such a cost means if someone was particularly devious, they could bring down all the communication satellites in orbit and kill a good share of global communications, because replacements costs would be exorbitant.
Yah, but they are all launched by one or two spaceports the country operates and most nations often send their satellites up on other nations launchers. So I'm not seeing sense to the launch limit as well since cosmodromes have multiple launch pads. Indeed Baikonur has two solely for commercial purposes such as comm. and weather satellites and most can be launched in 5 days once components are on site.
To make it seem like I'm not constantly whining about something scientific or the like what does the number next to the large industry number mean? Annual growth? How is economy grown? Projects? Throwing money at it and seeing what sticks? A lot of things seem expensive, but maybe I'm not just used to your system. Also do some nations already start with a space agency or is it a level playing field?

The large number represents industry, the smaller one is parenthesis represents industry growth. If you have (+5), then you get 5 more industry that turn.
Economy is grown through projects, and yes, throwing money at it, and seeing what sticks is generally a good idea. Not all projects will work.
Things seem expensive, because they are. This is generally to discourage wanton war, but also to prepare for the fact that I expect some nations to be hitting 20 or 30 EP sooner rather than later. Imago's system is good for the type of NES he runs, but by devaluing my EP, to allow players to have more of it, I have to make the unit prices more expensive.
As far as I know, the only nations to of worked on a space-agency has been Poland and Mesopotamia. You have captured some stuff in the Cosmodrome, so you'd get a discount of 5 EP to start your own.
Also, I adjusted some prices, and made a few things more expensive. Yes, you may all collectively groan. But hopefully, high prices are going to prevent large scale spamming of units in weaker nations. Also, keep in mind, that your economies are very weak, and small. Expect growth early on.
Senegambia here, I completely missed that you started this thread. I was waiting on a link to be posted in the pre nes. Sorry about being late.
Repost since I didn't get a response: To The Norse Imperium From Grand Senegambia
Call off this viscous assault on our sovereignty. As you have seen, our nation will not just roll over and die like the other African nations and as such, it's a waste of your resources and mine to bring this war to us when so many other African nations could put up very little resistance to your forces.
