While are those workers are tedious, a few more temples every turn does bring domination closer. :D

A few? All those tundra towns with enough forests has temples.. and some has gotten harbors/tanks/artilleries chopped after that.. :p

War with india will insure that absolutely noone can launch a space ship no matter what.

can I make india declare? They have dropped to polite from furious with is now.. and we still have RoP in place.

downside to attacking zulus is that they only recently got rails.. so large parts of their land is still not railed.. it will be quickerto kill them later.
downside to a war with india is that we cant see if they research new techs the next few turns.. or actually.. we can see if time to research drops noticably..

Use available defenseive units to cover all exposed attack places.. all the indian fast units are on islands, so we should be safe from loosing many units the way I placed them

But you probable want to send out some combat settlers, and you need an inf or two for each of those...

mongols is number 2 in both land and pop now.. (poor india.. I almost pity them)

Remember 5 to 10 turns per round - STRICT 24 hours got it, total 48 hours to at complete. Once the game starts dragging 48 hours to at least report a status update.

I took a look at the game. An 8% jump in territory is unreal for a world map game. In addition, you have setup Microbe to see even more border expansions thanks to additional temples that came on-line.


It is working well, but it does seem strange to see more progress against India from the west with our reinforcements coming from the east. Outside of a couple of decent stacks in the Middle East, it already looks like India is mostly broken. :D


I am curious why so many ships are fortified in ports. Those were the same ships I wanted to get to Asia so that we could invade Japan and possible take out the last of the Aztecs to eliminate the flip risk once and for all.


If we start hurting for defensive infantry, we could pull the guards out of the Tundra waste in North America. To be honest the loss of one of those cities wouldn't hurt all that much.


I suspect my next round will be the last time I play this game.

I suspect you mean the ones up by greenland?
I was keeping some around there incases i needed to ship units to or from greenland in emergency

If you mean the ones at bering strait.. I was filling every available ship there and shipping across units and workers every turn so could not afford to bring any of those further south.

(and personally I didnt see the need to divert military units out on those islands when we have lots of easier lands to conquer on the mainland)
 
I forgot to mention I was using one of the cities up in Siberia to heal armies (and other units) in.

The armies in there with full movement left would be healed at the start of next turn.

Found a few towns.

IBT Zulu and China MA vs Mongols. Aztecs and India MA vs Mongols and Iros.

(1)1710AD: lose one elite tank but kill TOW and infantry and capture Tatung and get a leader.

Kill 6 units and capture Bangalore with ToE and 3 artillery. It has Copernicus too. I abandon and settle a new town to get to more Indian cities this turn.

Capture Calcutta with JS Bach. Oops, I should have avoided it or bombarded it to size 1, now I have to keep it. I expect it to flip. Rename it to JS Bach.

Capture Indus and abandon. Capture Tyre, Samaria. Raze Bactra.

On the northern island: autoraze Larsa. Lose full health knight army to guerilla. It's no use anyway.

We are 40%.

IBT China wants peace. Elephantine and New Canton flip.

(2)1715AD: Raze New Canton.

Raze New Kolhapur(India) on the island at our transport line.

Autoraze Elephantine.

Capture New Atzcapotalco(Aztec).

Abandon Indus and found a replacement.

Capture Chittagong, Jaipur, Ganges. Abandon and settle. Raze Ningpo, Pune.

Lose one cav army and raze Bombay. We get another 15 slaves to manage.

Kill the stacks of Indian units inside our territory.

Just before the interturn I tried to save and the game hang. I had to replay part of the turns. :mad:

None of the empty towns could be reached by enemy units.. the units in open could :)

Lux was set to 30% to give WLTKD in every town.. this brought in 3-6 extra shields in most towns with factories and power plants

Now I have two choices for next target: Mongols or Zulu. I decide to go for Zulu first, simply because we still have 16-turn MA left against Babylon. I set to 100% science to get Computers in 12 turns.

On the Aztec front, autoraze New Teotihuacan.

Declare on Zulu.
Autoraze Diata. Raze Taudene. Raze Ngome. Capture Athribis and Zunguin. Autoraze Taghaza.

Raze New Bapedi and get a leader. Capture lbabanago. We are short on defense so I have to evacuate some towns not adjacent to Zulu.

IBT OCC Russia and India MA vs us, Mongols and Zulu. The JS Bach city flips as expected.

(4)1725AD: bombard Calcutta down to size 2 and recapture it, and get a leader. We have too many armies so I disband a cav army to rush a transport so we could invade more islands next turn.

Autoraze Tzintzutzen.

Capture lsipedi, Swazi, Umtata, lsandhlwana, Tuegula, Zimbawe. Capturing cities seems to be much faster now. Raze Ufomoli, Amatikulu, Mpondo, Intombe, Ulundi, Bapedi.

Zulu core is almost completely gone.

I land some units to a Songhai island, only to find that I didn't declare. If we worry about RoP rep it would take two more turns to capture. Do we care?

Are we dependent on the Siberian shuttle moving troops through Mongolian territory?
 
In my mind, we have reached the 800 lb gorilla stage in this game. We can rather do as we please.
I would just go ahead and attack, but be careful to do no other RoP rapes. We will let the man give the finally word though.

Well the final word depends on the answer to my question. My answer is the opposite of the answer to that question.

If we depend on the Mongol route = yes, then I say no.
If we depend on the Mongol route = no, then I say yes.
 
IBT Songhai kicks us out. Just delay one turn, OK.

Note: We have several transports to invade on various fronts:
- to the west of Africa, Songhai
- Japan island (China)
- South Asia, India (transport in Rawson). It could land units to take out New Delhi and then turn to south take out more Indian and Babylon towns. Beaware of the Indian boats at New Delhi.
- North: There are several Australian towns, and one Babylon town.

Our armies are healing in several big ex-Zulu cities. All other troops/artillery are fortified around Mideast. There is also one empty army.

I fortified a lot of workers at our home land (around capital).

We are short of settlers. You could switch some core cities to them. If we could fill all the gaps we might be close to domination already.

Our next major target is Mongols, but we need more defense as the front is very long.

We are at 45% land.
