Civinator, I see in the pedia for the Coastal Battery that it expires with Great War. That conflicts with what the Great War says. It does not list anything expiring. Explosives say Coastal Bat expires.

The other thing I found was that The Capitol could not be build, though nothing is listed as a requirement? No tainted shields as I tried in in all cities and some had no builds going. I checked
the biq and it does not show any requirements either.

Edit: Later in the game I was able to make the capitol. I got the popup to build it, after research of WW2 ships. That tech makes no mention of the capitol.

The Venetian Galleass does not list an upgrade, but did upgrade to a torp boat.

Anyway the guard infantry that is auto built does not list that it can be upgraded. It can be to infantry.

Got a crash for a wonder splash for the AMX Factory missing. I guess I can copy some other splash and rename it. Has this been reported and an update been posted already?

Update:
America is sending a lot of troops (foot and mounted) through our territory toward Indo-China with whom they are at war. This has some what slowed down our getting troops into place to attack the last 3 Inca cities.
The Inca suckered the Aztec into signing an MPP; so the Aztec declared war on us.
 
Question: I could trade Military Tradition to Greece for 99 gpt or, declare war and capture the 3 Greek cities on our side or the choke point giving us a nice clean shore line. One Greek City (Sparta) is defended by Hopilites. I do not know how the other 2 are defended. Any thoughts on what is best? I favor :hammer:
 
I say smack the Greeks. Are only tech threats are all near us, so cash isn't as important. If any of them get to far, we can smack those civs.
In addition, Greece works on my goal of controlling all on our side of the choke point.
It is now about grabbing land.

IIRC there is at least one Aztec city on our side to deal with.

There are 2 Aztec cities on the east coast in what was russian/viking territory. I am moving some troops to take care of them.
There are also several Aztec cities that are the south east coast of our side of the check point.
 
I agree with clearing the Greeks away to consolidate our position.

The Aztecs, to clarify for the lurkers, are from our side of the chokepoint; their core is just far to the south.

They are all noted, so some of them (per example the missing splash for the French AMX-Factory) were still known. The civilopedia couldn´t keep pace with the changes in the biq and in the other files. That´s one of the main reasons why I want to do a non public betatest with the next version of CCM (others are to get feedback with the new features in that mod).

Ok, here is another one. I tried to attack a town with a partisan and it would not do it. It says in bold type that you do not have to declare war with a partisan?
 
Earlier in this thread Civinator replied to a question by saying that a slaver or mullah couldn't attack a city without a declaration of war if controlled by the player, but that they could if controlled by the AI. Presumably you've discovered a parallel case.

HN (Hidden Nation)-units (as these are enslavers, holy men, lawyers, partisans, guerillas and vietcong) have a hardcoded different behaviour when attacking cities.

a) HN-units of the AI can always attack cities without declaration of war.
b) HN-units of the human player can only attack cities after declaring war to the civ that holds that city.

Of course I like to answer your common questions about CCM and I´m glad that you do your questions :), but I´m a little bit afraid, that LKendter could become somewhat angry, as this story now is frequently interrupted by these questions and I also like it a lot, that he and all other players do this story. :):thumbsup:

I left a few units unmoved and not fortified. Most of the troops that did not move are fortified. Our largest concentration of troops is by Gateway.

I almost have all our cities hooked up to the thin rail net.

For now I want to continue to concentrate on our side of the choke point. Strategically this is by far the best play, as it will give a very simple front to deal with.

Once we finish the rail-net if former Nubia, I would like to pull out all the flip standby troops. Any flips there are much less of a pain once the rail-net reaches all there cities.

We are to the point that we only need 1 good defender in interior, NON-core cities, in cities on the rail-net. With infantry in the cities, the risk of a hidden unit taking them out is low enough to risk the NON-core cities.

I would like to put a bunch of rails behind Cuzco. We are to the point I would like one staging zone for our troops. This is where I would like to put the Nubian flip protection troops.

One debate is how much longer do we push tech hard? We got the key techs with the ability to build workers and settlers.

Our wars with the Aztecs and Dutch are a waste right now as we can't get to their towns.
Sadly the French and Israel still have an MPP.
My gut says sign peace with USA to get rid of the distraction when available. We will need at least 20 turns to clear all the civs on our side of the choke, so that should NOT interfere long-term.
Get the rail-net good by Israel. Once USA peace declare on France, kill France first as they should be quick while bleeding Israel troops, then wipe Israel getting all that cash.
