LK169, Italy, CCM 2.5, AWM

I counted the tiles and looked at what we'd get with full improvements:

Food grass
Food hill
Food forest
Shields BG
Shields hill
Shields forest
total food
total shields
x3 shields
X3.25 shields
red grass
13
6

99
107.25
red hill

4

30

97.5

So, late game, JJ's spot is def better for building Armored Cars (I didn't actually count up all the shield-multiplier buildings, but IIRC 2.75-3.25 is the right range for when we're building Armored Cars).

Before then, tbh I'm not sure how much the commerce advantage will matter.

Based on the data, I'll count this one as 50/50 between red/blue.

For Yellow dot, I'm also fine keeping it on this side of the river.

Shields in this game :)
I wonder why I keep using hammers, especially since I use a shield icon to denote bonus grass tiles. :crazyeye: :dunno:

I think commerce is the deciding factor since it gets added together. Lk's 2 cities provide 4 extra base commerce added to the total used to determine the amount of research we do and how much gold we add to our treasury each turn. Given how long it takes to get cities fully roaded, the extra wet tiles add up.

Except for the turns, when I could not build tanks, I would most likely build Infantry in that city.

Hammers are in Civ 4, right?

And yeah, the extra riverside tiles do add up. With that in mind, I'm on board with the hill spot/blue dot.

Civinator, the City State civilopedia is the Acropolis shown as a City Imp, but in the entry for Acropolis it is listed as a Small Wonder?

Report to follow.

Congrats. IIRC the GL also gives free settlers.

What a weird AW game.

Notes and Suggestions:
  • There are 2 Settlers headed to LK’s Light Blue Dot.
    • The Roading crew on the hill next to that spot builds 1 turn roads.
  • There is a Horse North of LK’s Blue Dot.
    • The Spearman standing on the Pig at Sheepish Pig Iron is for fog busting North of the Horse.
  • I think we should reap the full Benefits of the Great Library and not do any research until we reach the Age of Discovery and use the extra gold to short rush some buildings.
  • See next post for a Map of the known world in 550AD

The number of civs is getting unreal. Now Japan is on the list. We haven't taken a single AI city yet.

It sounds like our enslavers continue load us up with workers. :)

I am glad to see we have horses nearby. Add green dot to the left of the horses as a site to build.

The buildup of cash while the Great Library is active is tricky. Are buildings now more valuable, cash to upgrade units, or cash for deficit research when it expires.

Jersey Joe, the Acropolis is a SW and this is written in the entry of the Acropolis and there is nothing noted, that it is not a SW in the government City State entry. What entry do you mean ?

Jersey Joe, you are correct about the Acropolis. In the editor the SW flag was not tickled for that building. Thank you very much for reporting that error, otherwise this error would have made it even into CCM 2.6. :)
