There is still the point that Hungarians are not Germanic peoples, central Europe is not only German, and the majority of Germans live west of the Elbe and South of Bohemia, and are thus outside your control.
This is the first time I've mentioned the likelihood being dissent - before I just pointed out that your articulations were badly thought out and wrong. And I'm not saying there is dissent, but that if you do send in that justification in your orders you should be rightly screwed. Lern 2 causality lol.
Finally Russia would gain quite a lot if they continued - the ruin of Prussia and the removal of a threat on their doorstep.
OOC: True and true to your first paragraph. I was wrong. Sometimes people are wrong. You could have been non-aggressive in your post, and you were not. I respond very negatively to aggression.
This is not the first time you have mentioned the likelihood of dissent; the first time was when I was ceding my treaty ports to China and you st that this would increase dissent among Prussian nationalists. You were wrong, and you would think you would have learned your lesson then.
As for my "articulations" being poorly thought out or wrong, this is the first time I have been plainly wrong in any "articulation" I have expressed. If you think otherwise, you are wrong. Poor thought, on the other hand, while a possibility, I had solid reasoning to back up every one of my decisions; you just disagree, which does not make them poorly thought out. It means you disagree.
Finally, what Russia will gain in this war, if it continues, is a loss, plain and simple; the terms of this treaty are the best they will get, and they should have taken them while they were offered.
To: Prussia
From: Sweden
We don't believe Prussia has to capability to invade Sweden and would like to see it try. Sweden believes that Prussia is stretching itself beyond its limits as currently it is fighting a 3 front war.
We would also like to inform Prussia that it is a terrible ally attempting to trade Finland for peace with Russia when it was Prussia who most likely initiated the war in the first place. Can you even rely on your allies to remain by your side now after trying to trade them for favourable peace terms?
How long can your current stockpile of resources last? Sweden was one of your largest suppliers of resources and Finland is almost completed occupied. Your nation doesn't have the resources to sustain itself and soon it will fail.
From this it is clear it is the Prussian Union who is not in the position to demand anything from Sweden.
To: The Kingdom of Sweden
From: The Prussian Union
The fact is, we have not the capability to invade Sweden at the moment; however, if the war were to continue for two, or maybe three more years, we will have that capability.
We are not fighting a three front war, we are fighting a two front war with Russia/Sweden and Hungary; Hungary will be defeated this year, turning it into a one front war, which we will win.
We are not a horrible ally when we trade Finland to Russia; the fact is, Russia demanded Finland, and Finland will be better off under Russia than it would be under Sweden, which are our choices for the moment. Because Russia has refused our extremely generous peace, the next treaty will include a free Finland, as well as enormous territory loss by Russia and, most likely, the agreed annexation of Hungary.
As for resource supply, we guarantee that, in a war of resource attrition, Prussia will beat both Russia and Sweden every single time. While you may have been an important supplier to our military and economy, we have been just as much an important supplier to your military and economy. This is one major loss to your economy.
The second is that of any naval trade. Sweden can and will be denied naval trade by the Prussian navy, and there is nothing you can do to counter it. We will also deny trade to Russia and, with the addition of Romania and the Hellenic Republic to the war, we will restrict their access to the Black Sea as well.
Russia's and, therefore, Sweden's last major economic outlet is Qing China, which will continue to be dominated by Japanese and British merchant. You cannot and will not sustain your economies at the level they are at for the next year, let alone the next two or three years. Your economies will fail, and, while Prussia may suffer a mild recession, we will not fall nearly as hard as Russia or Sweden.
From this, it seems that the Prussian Union is in the best possible situation to bring forth its first, and very reasonable, offer: complete and unconditional surrender of Sweden to the Prussian Union and the freedom of Finland from Swedish forces. We will accept no other peace from Sweden.
Do you hhonestly believe that you are the only resource provider of Prussia? If Prussia is able to overrun the massive resources of Russia with their massive resources, they will have an even larger source of resources.
Quite possibly the first completely true and on-topic thing that sp1023 has ever posted, although his optimism about Prussia's land invasions of Russia are obviously misplaced.
We are obligated? Really? As you can see, you started the war. They are simply joining it. Anyways, even if we were obligated, we couldn't send support. Our army is pathetic! Even switzerland has a bigger army than us!
We apologize for not being able to send ground support, but until it grows, we cannot afford to.
Our navy is a different case. We could spare some light ship groups, but we would have to pass through enemy waters. That is a risk we are not willing to take for our meager navy. If you could negotiate with our surrounding countries, we might be able to send you some.
The only option currently available is to send you our Light recon airplane. I doubt it will make any difference. Unless you are able to weaken russia significantly, we will not be able to send you support, for risk of colonization.
Tell us if you are able to negotiate or want the plane. They will be on their way as soon as you say so.
Again, we apologize for not sending ground support, but until the Council of 100 sees fit, we cannot afford to do so.
When our defense stabilizes and our offense is good, the Greeks will rise once more!
(P.S. Pm me and tell me which tech you want me to invest in.)
To: The Hellenic Republic
From: The Prussian Union
You are, indeed, obligated. While the war with Russia was started by the Prussian Union, the attacks of Hungary and Sweden fall under wars in which Prussia is not the aggressor. They chose to enter on the side of Russia and, because they initiated attacks against Finland, Romania, and Prussia, you are obligated by the treaty to enter the war against Sweden and Hungary; this will undoubtedly cause Russia to declare war on you, bringing you full into the war. In fact, it has most likely already happened.
As for the support you are capable of lending, your navy will be a great support to Romania in the coming battle for the Black Sea. Romania will be capable of building at least one Goliath, and we have examined your economy and found you capable of doing the same. Adding these two Goliaths to your combined navy will make it impossible for the Russian navy to stop you.
Russia cannot afford the forces to "colonize" the Hellenic Republic; it will be busied with naval battles in the Black Sea, land battles in Europe, and revolts in Finland that will be capable of tying up significant amounts of Russian troops. You are more than safe if you build a single Goliath and send it to help us in our naval battle with Russia.
To: The Empire of France
From: The Prussian Union
We would like to request, on behalf of the Hellenic Republic, an allowance for the Hellenic Republic to move its navy through the Bosporus Straits. We would hope this would not be a problem for France, but we feel the need to obtain permission before authorizing the sending of the ships.
OOC: Wow, that was lots longer than I thought it was going to be. Sorry for the length, everyone.
