Agreed, an SK needs something more than an ability to kill in a game this big.

Also, Martin, generally mafia don't vote on who to kill, they just agree on who to kill, and either the actual killer or the godfather or someone like that gets the final say if they mildly disagree, and they usually come to agreements pretty quickly after the first couple of nights, when they usually kill almost at random or for silly reasons anyway. An interesting mechanic, but it doesn't really work in most instances, and giving a Godfather nothing more than a tiebreaking power is stupid.

All in all, there were a few too many townie things even with the weird cops, a few too few mafia things, and a seriously underpowered Serial Killer. And then there was all the awful luck.

Well having the Godfather killed on the first night, shows he wasn't much of a godfather role, basically he was just a super mafioso and nothing more. If he was going to be the godfather, then there should be extra protections for him, like not being killed while his followers are still around. Once the godfather was killed and we killed the SK, then I knew straight away we had no chance of winning.

not necessarilly. I am more used to godfather role which gives ability to scan as an innocent.

Well normally Godfather roles are super mafia, so that does give them extra benefits.

I hate Godfather roles where you can't be killed while your followers are alive, kills the suspense of the role in my opinion. That's only from the point of view of actually playing the role, such roles are even more annoying as town.
