Magic: The NESering

This is the thread for developing a Magic The Gathering set based on NES forum culture.

If you don't know anything about Magic, just read a few card descriptions, perhaps read the introduction at www.magicthegathering.com , and post suggestions of how you want your card to look.

As a general rule, please let individual posters make the cards of themselves.
I think NESers will be creatures, famous nations can be lands, NESes can be enchantments.

The card types are artifact, creature, enchantment, instant, land, and sorcery.

IF YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT MAGIC THE GATHERING, POST AWAY - WE'LL BE HAPPY TO HELP YOU MAKE A CARD FROM YOUR IDEA.
Creativity is the most difficult part of this; it's easy to reword and rebalance cards.

At the beginning of your upkeep, you may put a +1/+1 counter on Erik Mesoy.
Whenever Erik Mesoy becomes the target of a spell or ability an opponent controls, if the converted mana cost of that spell or the amount of mana sent on that ability is higher than the number of +1/+1 counters on Erik Mesoy, sacrifice Erik Mesoy. Otherwise, you may counter that spell or ability.
